Smith is not a good GM. He wants JN to have surgery because he's looking in a future, and yet he doesn't want to trade Turk! Turk's agent showed him all his cards! They will opt out! And now, in my opinion, Turk plays horrible so there will be no interest in him before the dead line! What a F.... mess!!!!! it make me sick to my stomach !!! Smith get a grip, trade Turk, let the team build new chemistry with whomever we get and next year bring it home!!!

How about Turk for Barron Davis?

The Magic are not going to win the title this year regardless of who they have at the point. Might as well trade for a good point guard and let the chemistry build for a title run next year.

MIO,

Anything you have to say about last nights game?
I got nothing man and it seems like the immaturity factor is kicking in with not able to handle Jameers loss?

What do you think??

the 4th best record does not mean a thing if it does not lead to playoff wins. This team has crumbled since jameer went down and along smith can bring back is LUE havent we already seen this act, the last time lue was here the magic won 20 games, they should have kept dooling or tried to get him back he had a basic understanding of how the offense worked and everytime he came into the game he provided some energy, this team needs someone to bring energy as for turk he was a flash in the pan last year, they should have traded him last offseason

How is that Tmac trade looking thses days? Probably the best trade the magic have ever made. I'll never forget all the negative comments about that deal from local fans and about the hockey GM. Well, he is looking pretty smart these days after drafting Dwight and Jameer and dumping TMAC and all the naysayers are looking pretty stupid. Isn't life grand!

You already have them losing in the playoffs....which haven't even started yet.

OK, I'll bite. You are the GM. Provide a viable trade scenario to make the Magic better.

I had no idea Jameer was THAT valuable to this team. There is such a gaping hole at the 1 and 2 spots right now. I haven't been for trading Turk, but I am not so sure I wouldn't trade Turk and J.J. for Baron Davis.

The quandry is...if you do something this year, you run the risk of damaging future years....with no guarantee we will even get by Cleveland or Boston (or even Detroit in the 1st round at this point) this year. BUT, if you DON'T do something this year, you are done. No way we get past Cleveland right now...who would be our 2nd round opponent.

I saw that. That would be a good trade for both....and could very likely bring Cleveland the title.

Baron Davis' contract:

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/la_clippers.htm

That would bring Jameer off the bench as the 6th man next year. Something Otis is not going to do...but Jameer would likely be better suited.

Very true...but i'm still not buying that MAGIC is that spoiled with Jameers play that we look like freaking clippers...lol...
We have enough talent to turn it around.
Either we took Jameer for granted and took HEDO for granted last year....
CRAZY!

Otis has basically thrown in the towel when he traded for Lue and by just "listening" isn't going to get it done or make anything happen.

Otis passed up his opportunity to trade for good players and continue to build this team for the future.

I'm going to be a loyal fan and continue to watch as many games as I can, but my hope is gone. Otis has depressed me soooo much this season that the only thing Iím looking forward too is the draft. A first round exit or second round exit is on the horizon and I'm going to laugh when we can't sell out the games for the playoffs.

Trust me, Iíll be the first to eat my words if we somehow manage to turn it around, but at this point the future is grim.

lol
CLEE and Hedo will start playing pure point and we'll start hitting shots...Defense will pick up while JJ picking up some offense and Tyrone getting into the groove...while Peitrus jumps off the building...
We'll be fine....

O-magic, you are an idiot. Courtney Lee and Hedo are not going to fill in the gaping hole that we have at the point guard position right now. We are a .500 ball club without Jameer. we dont have any player who can truly create and distribute for everyone else. Teams are hardly double teaming Dwight now because they know that they can shut down everyone else on the team, which is sad considering one of them is making $120 million. CLEE is the real deal and will be very good in a couple seasons, but will not be able to pick up the slack this year. It is truly depressing. Otis has done well for the magic. There have been many times i have questioned the moves he has made or lack there of, but he has proved me wrong each time. That being said, i do not understand what he is thinking right now. He is discouraging Jameer about playing again this season and at the same time making no trade for a decent guard. Turks agent has already made things sound shady about his contract for next year which would signal that he probably wont be back next season. Why not ship him out for a solid PG and potentially another PF/C? I'm not about to make up any scenarios but i know there are some out there. Instead otis is just going to sit on his a** and do nothing. That pisses me off to no end, because the window of opportunity is so small in this league. Why throw in the towel for the season when there is still a shot at salvaging it? As it stands right now we are looking at a first round exit w/o Jameer. Hopefully otis is truly hoping inside for a Jameer come back because if not, he is retarded thinking we can just go on without him. Jameer cant hurt his shoulder any more than it already is. Let him rehab and come back and lets try to make a playoff run. He is perfectly capable of playing a high level of ball with the torn labrum, and he is going to get the surgery which will be a six month process either way wether its now or at the end of the season. Jameer better be coming back because i dont see us making a move by the end of today. If today goes by without a trade and we hear that Nelson wont be coming back for the season a few weeks later, i will hate Otis. We need more depth anyway. It is painful to watch us play right now. Otis, you cant just let a title contending, previous top 2 team that held the leagues best record only a few weeks ago just go to waste. Dont just wait for next year, Any one of our players can just as easily get hurt next season. Either make a deal or let jameer come back. Hes ahead of schedule for rehab anyway. I can deal with us sucking a little while longer if i know hes gonna be back at least in time for playoffs. We still have a shot so lets make this happen!
