The problem being that Luol wants to play for the Brittish team this summer. He can be a valuable contributer to the team when healthy and agressive. He "settles" too much for the 20' jump shot. He needs to rest over the summer. He needs to differentiate between being hurt and injured. If he can play he needs to lace em up.
I'm fine with him not playing. He made 71 million dollars based on ONE playoff game. He can't dribble, he can't play with Rose, he can't shoot the three. All he can do is slash and make jump shots, but even that has fallen to the wayside since he can't play with Rose.

PLUS all of the negative crap surrounding his offense makes him useless on defense because he's a headcase. Remember last year and his poor millionaire routine?

Terrible signing. If he had value, he'd be gone by now. Salmons is way, way better, and he actually knows how to play as a guard instead of trying to force himself to be a forward that can't do anything a small forward should.

The superstar contract that Deng signed aside, he can help this Bulls team. Kirk and Deng can come off the bench and play valuable minutes. Deng is a "system" guy and needs to be in a ball-motion offense. In the 6th, 7th man role he would get more touches in areas of the court where he could be effective. He can't create his own shot and he doesn't have 3 point range; which clogs the driving lanes for the guards. But teaming with Kirk, who is not a penetrator could work well for him. In other words he is a very expensive, limited role-player. Remember its not what you are worth its what the suckers are willing to pay you!

Let Deng sit the rest of the season! The rotation is fine right now so why bring back a guy if he is not a 100%!

Whether Bulls fans like it or not the team is stuck with Deng! I'm pretty sure Pax realizes that this was a bad signing by now and all he can do is hope Deng has a bounce back year next season! Deng will be the starting small foward and Salmons should be the starting shooting guard next year! Gordon will only be brought back as the 6th man, assuming they can move Hinrich!!! Deng is a Bull for at least 5 more seasons!!!

i love deng dont get me wrong but right now he will not fit in salmons is playing alot of minutes and he needs to some players require big minutes to stay in rythem this is also true with tyrus any one els notice a player will be playing very well and vinnie will take them out for like 15 minutes the coaching of this matter is stupid when a player is hot keep him in i dont care what kind of depth u have on the bench your bench should not be playing 2/5ths of the minutes they should maybe play 13 at most and in most well ran teems barring fool trouble a 1/4 of minutes and most of the time that is between two players in the bulls case id love to se those players be kirk and brad miller your guard that can play three poss and your forward that can play either and hit the 18 footer so when deng comes back i think you pull the trigger on a big trade that includes deng, tim thomas, noah, and the oklahomas 1st round pick for the likes of bosh, or amare stoudamire, that will leave u with your 2 sold players coming of the bench for your key minutes althis pending they resighn ben if not its perfect deng goes where salmons is and salmons playes 2 guard and u have a stacked lineup

Like I said last week in a forum, we need to play Salmons and D.Rose together with Deng, Tyrus, and Noah. Bring BG off the bench. If BG can accept the role of 6th man resign him this offseason, otherwise let him go because him and Rose together is what we have had the last few years with Captain Kirk and BG an undersized backcourt who gets posted up by all the good to great players. Playing Salmons at the 2-guard will allow him to matchup with the other teams best guard as the Bulls matched him up on CP3 Saturday and he didnt allow him to penetrate and dish the alley-oop to Chandler all night. I know he had like 25-30 pts, but I believe he only had like 6 assists that night, I dont think he was very comfortable with the length of Salmons. If Deng can come back HEALTHY he can help the team!!

I agree. There seems to be a lot of Luol haters this season. What happens when he returns to the excellent form he head two years ago after a good summer's rest?
The hate started last season when he tanked and then was rewarded with more money than he asked for. Keep hope alive for next season. It makes more sense to put faith in players whom you don't have to go back two seasons to find positive play.

Deng is a 3rd or 4th option at best and has no allstar potential. We should ship his *** asap. Salmons is a much more affordable not to mention BETTER option. Deng's contract ends with him getting paid 14 mill that is too rich of a contract for someone that will never make an allstar game in my opinion.

He wasn't "rewarded."
The Bulls opted to pay his market value when his contract was up.

They'd win more games with Deng in there and involved in the offense rather than Gordon running the show.

thats a stupid comment...deng is not good...he cant shoot outside of 20 feet, he cant penetrate, and he doesnt play very good defense...he is pretty much rashard lewis without the 3 point range...and the 3 point range is all that is good about lewis
