Awful FT shooter... He looked too uncomfortable shooting em'. There was a stretch though that he shot 10 of 12 against the Cavs but it never happened again vs the Lakers...You wish sometimes that he develops a jump shot ala Tony Parker!! Man, wouldn't that be nice.... Parker shoots FTs very well too..But that's what true stars do, improve their weaknesses each year...Him and Mark Price have a lot of work to do..

I don't know if anyone else saw the segment on Rondo during the playoffs. They went into his personal life and he indicated during the interview that one of his favorite hobbies was rollerskating. When I saw that I started laughing...and talking to the TV at the same time. If only his favorite hobbie was getting in the gym during the offseason and shooting jump shots and FTS we would see improvement. So right now during his free time he is rollerskating...that's really going to help when next year rolls around. lol

LOL. But hey, I think he said one time it helped him become elusive on the court or something to that effect....Take a page from Ray Allen's regimen in the offseason. But I'll commend him for seeking Mark Price for shooting lessons...Maybe he needs Chip Engelland who is Parkers shooting coach. I remember Parker having an awful jumper as Rondo has.

It will just come down to how much Rondo wants it...the great players always look to improve their game. Even Reggie Miller said during the course of a Celtic game that if Rondo wants to take his game to the next level he needs to be in the gym during the offseason shooting 500 jump shots and FTS a day. I completely agree with Reggie because it's not as if Rondo has to get a summer job...basketball is his job. How bad does he want it? With an outside shot and better FT shooting Rondo would be the best PG in the NBA.

Calling it a night everyone..I'm glad I found this board. It's nice to discuss Celtic ball without fans from other teams jumping in looking to start arguments. Pleasure talking to each of you and I hope to see you on this board in the future.

I absolutely agree with your concerns. I am a faithful Celtics fan, yet I have begun to have reservations about just what, if any, thought process is ongoing, in the Celtics front office. I must agree with Paul Pierce, who obviously shares the same concern.

The Eastern Conference, in particular, is loading their rosters, at any expense, for a run at the NBA title. Meanwhile, Pierce, and Allen, have exhibited the loyalty to not only remain Celtics, but provide salary space for upgrading the bench.

I greatly respect Danny Ainge, but must wonder at what "magical" remedy he has, in the wings, to fill these holes. There is not an "infinite" number of quality players left to choose from, and every day I check the Celtics website, all I get are bits of old news, and rumors of what other teams are doing, to upgrade their rosters. Danny, the "clock is ticking" and it ticks for you.

The loyalty of your core players, deserves your best efforts to provide them with a valid reason for remaining Celtics, and so do your fans. Maybe, we need to set up lemonade stands, too, to help the "poor" Celtics ownership pay for what they are either unable, or unwilling, to pay for.

The Heat is so loaded, at this point, that they should win 60 games, by accident, and continue to add more depth. What's wrong with this picture? Letting Leon Powe, and now Tony Allen, get away are two of the less intelligent oversights of our management. I'd rather have Shaq, playing 15 minutes per game, with six fouls to give, and a big body to supplement our front line, than pick up a couple of "scrubs" that are left over, after everyoone else has picked the cupboard clean.

Get your "heads out", front office, and don't be content to rest on your laurels, because come the regular season, things are, from all indications, going to get "ugly"!

The only way the Celtics can improve the team is to first of all get rid of their scouts (if they even have any) and second, dump Danny Ainge. Other than trading the whole team for KG, he hasn't produced squat. The last 10 years they haven't had any quality draft picks. Other teams have been able to draft, what are the Celtics doing?

I agree with you Tom. I am a long-time Boston fan. The front office hasn't had any success signing anyone that can legitimately help. They just re-signed Marquis Daniels? Wow!...break out the champagne......sheeesh. Draft picks produced nothing once again....Get rid of Ainge....hire some scouts that actually sit in the stands.
