Thank You Mr. Dilbeck. Finally, someone in the media has called it like it Tis, as it relates to the "BIG HOT AIR BALOON." I have been saying for a long time that the Big Disloyal is the most self absorbed and self serving player in the history of the NBA. How people have not been criticizing the "Big Stuck On Myself" for his constant praises of himself is beyond me. In a society where humility is so frequently applauded, and seen as a true character virtue, the "Big Conceted" is anemic in every way. Realistically, Shaq has been a part of some great successes here in LA, but he has torn his behind with all of the comments. I wouldn't be suprised if he hadn't hurt himself so much that Dr. Buss never invited him to have his number raised to the rafters with other Laker greats. It really is a shame that this man who is going to go down in history as one of the truly dominant forces in the history of the league, doesn't have a home. He can't go back to Orlando, he can't return to Miami and he is unwelcome here. When Jim Hill says thanks but no thanks to the idea of a Shaq return, you know you have rubbed the entire city the wrong way. I guess everyone is now seeing what I have always seen, and that is , Kobe has always been the more mature professional of the two. Kobe was just young and had to have some experiences to grow as a person as well as a player. It is true, the older a person gets, the more his hidden deficiencies surface. We are seeing the true individual who was once believed to be the most charming and engaging person in professional sports. So long Shaq, and don't come back. Loose lips do sink ships.

Hope your article hits Shaq over the head and wakes him up from his juvenile fantasy! All the bad karma he's been throwing at people will all come back to haunt him!

Finally someone in the media who's not kissing Shaq's behind all the time. The article couldn't be better and I love that you backed everything up with the facts.

I would sooner worship Paul Pierce (nose being held very tightly at this very moment) than have that thing return.

Shaq is nothing more than a clown and close to becoming a has-been and is holding on to his former glory days for dear life. He knows he can't win a ring with Phoenix, so of course he wants to all but crawl back to a his former winning Lakers' team.

Do us a favor, Shaq. Stay in Phoenix where you can wither away in the desert heat.

shaq is a lazy dipsh*t. I recall a game where there was a loose ball right next to his feet, but didnt even dive to get it, he merely bent down and slowly reached for it; a player from further away even came and snatched it. if anything kobes work ethics is what brought the lakers their titles not shaqs lazy "MDE" personality. you know... i still think that it was kobe who was the main reason that lakers won their 3 titles. yea yea... kobe probably couldnt have done it without shaq but shaq definitely couldn't do it wihtout kobe either. With that being said, most of the games for those years showed kobe completely dominating offensivly and taking of the game. Kobe is an offensive machine, and i still think kobe led them to the titles not shaq.

Hanging a jersey from the rafters is an honor. It should be perserved for honorable performers. Shaq is not an honorable Laker. He bad mouth everything about the lakers and players. Don't hang his jersey up.

WOW, I have been arguing to deaf ears for many years now about what I feel about shag the big baby. Yes he was dominating 1/3 of the time, but his insecurities dominated him. Thank you for this article, it so true, he is the B. Arnold of the Lakers, He was not the big man but the little b..tch.

Ah, I remember those days!! We're they great, or were they great? We had the team of the new millenium!
Who remembers hearing about all the drama between Kobe and Shaq and then seeing them blast through opponents night in and night out? I still remember watching tv one night and seeing Kobe being carried into an arena on Shaq's back, they were both smilling....i remember thinking....this is great...they're friends again!! I remember all the Laker flags on cars EVERYWHERE in the city! I remember the parades. I called in sick to go to one and even got on tv and remember my co-workers joking with me saying "you weren't sick, we saw you on tv at the parade"! Oh man those days were great!!

Now, Shaq wants to be friends again after all the sh*t he's tallked??

Thanks for the memories....but that's all you are now.....a memory!

Why don't you just call him the Big Cheapshot or the Big Ego? When Shaq was younger, he actually had some humility and ability to work but the facts as presented in this article and other articles that have been well documented clearly show Shaq as the Big Baby.

Does Shaq even KNOW who Benedict Arnold is?
I hope he gets stepped on the face by Kobe today. Literally.
Why is he saying he's going to come back to the Lakers? Even better, HOW is he ganna come back? I'd like to see him get on the team for 2 minutes and be traded off to the Lightnings (Which are the worst team today probably at the moment since it's also the newests and pretty recent. They have a GREAT HYPE team. I've seen em here (Not telling you Shaq! You fata** gorilla!)
I hope Shaq gets hit by his team bus today.

Couldn't have said it any better Steve!! I'm just curious to see how Shaq goes into the Hall as a Laker, Heat, or a Sun!! If he goes out as a Laker, he better take back everything he said about our town and our team and our management! Big Bafoon!! That big Joker didn't like being punked the last time he was here! Ashton calling Ashton time for another punk job on Shaq. ha ha! Go Lakers! Kick some tail tonight!
