Oh RIley....Oh, really....are you babysitting? Why are you constantly challenging them to play harder? Most NBA players are professional enough and proud enough to play as hard as they could. I think heat are playing hard. They just don't have the ammo. That's your job. Your responsibility is putting competitive team on the floor. Most everyone is saying that the team you put out there cannot compete, especially the no-defense triangle of Hardaway, Williams, and Wade. They might pull out a win or two with their hard work...but in the end..it is about talent. Ask Garnette, Allen, and Pierce. Do you think they lost all those games before becasue they did not put forth effort? Do your job Riley. Players are playing hard. We could see that. Soon, the frustration will melt the team down.

It seems that Rile's employing another of his strategies, in the end its the same old story: the team is not as competitive as the other teams. Let's all admit it a below 500 and lottery bound team.

WELL YOU NO I AGREE WITH SOME OF THE THINGS THAT IS HAPPENING. AND I THINK THEY ARE HAVE SOMETHING TO PROVE, BUT IT IS JUST NOT HAPPENING NOW. BUT THEY NEED TO TURN IT AROUND NOW AN SOON. I CAN UNDERSTAND HOW PAT RILEY FEEL ABOUT HIS TEAM AND HE NO WHAT THEY CAN DO. BUT INSULTS DOESN'T HELP ALL THE TIME. THEY NEED TO FIGURE OUT AS A TEAM WHAT THEY NEED TO DO TO WIN. AND I DO AGREE THAT THEY DO PLAY REALLY HARD. BUT THINGS IS JUST NOT FALLING THEY WAY. IF WE CAN GO ON ONE GOOD WINNING STREAK WE WILL BE OK.AS A GOOD FAN OF THE MIAMI HEAT I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THEM NOT WINNING BUT I DO ALSO HAVE ALOT FAITH THAT THEY WILL DO WHAT THEY NEED TO DO. I AM NOT GIVING UP ON THEM WHAT SO EVER. JUST A LITTLE DISAPPOINT RIGHT NOW. BUT I CAN SAY THIS NO MATTER HOW THING WORKS OUT IN THE END WIN OR LOSE I AM STILL A #1 MIAMI HEAT FAN THE END.

Now we're talking, Riles. The team needs leadership and you have the type of leader that could take men through brick walls and he's sitting right on your bench. His name is Chris Quinn. The MIGHTY QUINN! If he was in the military, he would rise to the level of general in record time. He can lead men. They will follow. Let him, Riles.

What caused this stink? Who assembled this collection of stench? Who manages this smelly putred pool? Oh...hi...Pat. Time to model your team like Detroit. Has successfully meshed their youth with the veterans without this ugly hangover. Probably too late...unless there's a monster trade soon.

this might sound off, but sometimes i feel like the success of the 2006 championship still lingers in their head and their complacent with that. kinda like 'ok, we won finally, thats it.' no one can say im wrong because we should be a contender with the lineup we have, yet we're the 3rd worst team in the league!!!

Really only two ways to go here. You either successfully manage your roster thru smart drafting, player development, and a timely trade or two resulting in a consistent, winning long-term plan.(highly recommend this approach...but skill set is necessary to achieve) Or, you purge your roster frequently, flip-flopping players and salaries for a quick fix virtually wasting your draft picks on quick relief choices thereby limiting any coherent stability.(not recommended but currently the state of the Miami Heat)

Here's hoping the Heat don't give away their upcoming lottery pick.

Enough of feeling like this team is loser by everyones thoughts. Coaching staff take notes, Line-up change pg JWilliams, sg DWade, sf DCook, pf DWright, c SOneal. This would give this team youth, energy, athelicisms, and the ability to compete with most teams. Then bring in RDAvis,MBlount,AMourning,UHasl em and whoever else. But first lets put some excitement back into this team with the line-up. Now if there are some well educated basketball minds out there, lets DO IT!!!!!!!!!!

Sure,'Riles,' your team does stink, but whose fault is that? You are the team president and head coach. You put this team together and you can't make it win, so the obvious conclusion is if your team stinks, then so do you.
'Riles,' you are a fraud and you show no class whatsoever by constantly ripping YOUR team in the media. Spend less time greasing your head and trying to look oh, so cool and debonair and spend more time doing your job and maybe YOUR team won't stink, you fraud. Your act is really getting old, like you.

if riley wasn't such a control freak and had made better decisions during the summer, the heat would be legitimate contenders.
hate to say it but look at the pats or the spurs. good teams don't break up the chemistry of their teams by making sweeping line up changes and expecting to compete in the same manner.
don't care how good penny hardaways playing, no team wanted him as a starter or solid sixth man. what was this guy thinking trading jason kapono or james posey, solid defender and three point shooter.
i just feel like throwing away my "heat" license plate right now

The heat are done and its not Shaqs or Wade fault. The whole blame lies on Pat Riley. He should of motivated himself in the summer and been the leader he is looking for now to aquire better talent to support Shaq and Wade. Pat Riley deserves respect, because of his accomplishments, but he totaly screwed up these year, and should be held responsible.
