Obviously Michael Beasley is not going to be "all that dominant right out of the gate". This is the NBA. If opposing teams have to worry about DWade and Marion though they can not plan their strategy around "stopping Beasley". It is not like summer league.

Beasley went to the right franchise to succeed in this league. Beasley has Wade who is the poster child for the NBA on being successful on and off the court. He also has Spoelstra who is a players coach, and will make sure not to screw up with this kid or he will not last long as an NBA Coach.

Good Luck B-Eazy!!

Nice piece and research and quotes. I know its tough cranking out a new article daily when there is not so much news to write about until training camp or a trade happens. Thanks for the effort.

Great article.

Beasley will be okay, as long as he gives us 15 and 8 a night on 46+% field goals and a lowpost dimension to our offense in year 1 that will be MORE than enough and will be GREAT.

Because he has a healthy Dwyane Wade back to pre-injury form leading the way and contract-year allstar forward Shawn Marion helping win games.

So Beasley should be able to contribute in a great way..... if he can be a 20/10 guy on 50% fg's than we could be a 50 win team as long as Wade is back to normal and we sign a serviceable center (Kwame Brown) to help out Zo and Blount.

Haslem backing up Beasley will help him alot too, mentor him for his defense. Zo too, he has some great bigs around him.

Banks and Chalmers will do a good job at point, Jones is a great shooter and roleplayer off the bench at the swing-spot.

We look alright. Beasley will be good, and in year 2 we will REALLY be ready to go all-out cuz Beasley is so good he will be right there at the allstar game as a backup Power Forward for KG and Chris Bosh and Elton Brand, be nice to see him in the frontcourt next to Dwight Howard (my now-2nd favorite florida bigman!)

Good article Ethan.

Beasley will be fine. He is a stud young Power Forward prospect, and like Wade said: he has alot of great help (especially Wade himself and Marion), and he has alot of great mentors (Wade, Jones, Zo, Haslem, Marion).

Thats good stuff.
