Late steal kills Minnesota Timberwolves' hopes of beating Utah

Full story: TwinCities.com

Paul Millsap scored 30 points, Earl Watson had a season-high 13 assists in place of injured Deron Williams, and the Utah Jazz beat the Timberwolves 108-100 on Friday night to halt a six-game losing streak.

27 min for our second best leading scorer is a shame... especially when they pulled him again because webster started playing better for the first time in a long time. Ever since Webster's been back (for the past month), Beasley's minutes have been reduced... and so has his scoring and overall involvement in the game. I think he sat for around 30 minutes tonight (10-12 game minutes) when his play prior to sitting didn't warrant it.

I still don't understand how Webster at the expense of Beasley makes sense to our coaches... nor do I understand why Webster at the expense of Brewer hasn't even been tried yet! Especially when Webster, when given consistent minutes, could put up 15 points a night and play just as good - if not better - on the defensive side.

ho hum....

This was a very instructive game, because it showed, in clear relief, that our problem is coaching. Minutes, rotation, but most of all, plays and sets. It was a real revelation to see a team with comparable talent and excellent coaching match up against the T-Wolves.

If this doesn't open Kahn's/Taylor's eyes, we have a problem.

I've wanted to like Rambis, but it is apparent that he's not the answer for this group of young men. He's just not good enough -- there's no other way to say it.

Now, it doesn't matter what I think, it matters what the players think. When they see themselves getting beat by their own coaches' incompetence, the temptation to jump ship will be strong. We've got a good nucleus of players here. If they start peeling off during free agency, don't be surprised.

Mr. Kahn? Mr. Taylor? What are you going to do?

Wow, what a franchise.
Such a powerhouse..........NOT
Get rid of this embarrassment.
Why do you think they have to give away tickets to see this rag-tag bunch of bumbling losers?
They couldn't sell out a high school auditorium.
But you die hards can keep drinking the cool-aid and saying, " they're not that bad " or " wait until next year " or some pipe dream of the Timberlosers re-grouping and doing better.
Yeah, I love reading all those.
Stop being so obtuse you idiots, You're making fools of yourselves.
Bunch of lemmings.

Wow, talk about taking a step backwards! The turnover numbers were absolutely horrid, and Utah probably came close to an NBA record for steals.

Kirilenko and Milsap schooled Beasley and Love on how to play with energy, and intelligence. The Utah duo contested EVERY shot, rebound, and loose ball, while Love hardly left the lane on defense. Beasley had 5 turnovers and was not much of a factor in the game.

Flynn was, once again, freakin awful! Six turnovers, including three on a four possession stretch in the second half. Once again, the guy couldn't guard a fire hydrant, can't beat his man off the dribble, won't take care of the ball, and can't shoot. So tell me again, why is he playing?

Pek has "Roberto Duran" hands. To save you the trouble, Duran was said to have "Hands of Stone", which for a boxer is a good thing, not so much for a basketball player. Pek is another guy who should be playing in the CBA. I have more lift than Pek. Let Koufos have the minutes as he annoys me less.

Darko, Darko, Darko..... Make an impact, dude! Get pissed and try to dunk every ball. Squeeze the hell out of the ball when you get your hands on it. Show something!!

Johnson played his best game of the year. He FINALLY put the ball on the floor a few times and got to the rim. Johnson's play was the only bright spot I can think of, other than the final horn.

Come on Coaching Staff, show us that you have a clue.

The Tender-wolves weren't beaten by a late steal! They were beaten before they took the floor. They don't know how to FINISH!! Plain and simple! ;-(

Hi, little fella. Good to see that Mom got you up early on a Saturday so you could post. Did you have a good breakfast? Just so you know, I won't be responding to your "loserville mudduck" stuff. Maybe some others will. But we're hoping that you'll just sit with the adults and listen. Some of us think you have some potential. Just remember to pick up after yourself. Your mom has enough to do.

How can you blame this loss on Beasley in your headlines? The Wolves had lost this game prior to Beasley's mistake. A much closer game was yesterday's loss to the Thunder and you failed to mention the stupid play by Luke Ridnour who failed 1) to take a time out with over 5 seconds remaining and 2) failed to pass the ball to a wide open Wesley Johnson for an open look. Instead you wrote this off to a desperation shot. Ridnour is a point guard and his role on the court is to manage the show. Panicking in a key situation is the antithesis in what you look for from a "seasoned" point guard.
Why is your reporting so biased against Beasley and so easy on Ridnour? Please be consistent in both your stories and headlines.

People to get rid RIGHT NOW by importance:
Rambis,Ridnour,Beasley,Flynn.. . get rid of them, trade em, send 'em packing. Get some ok coach, point guard and forward who is not under drugs and dilusional. My favorite choice would be Shane Battier as forward. With ok coach,ok point guard and Shane who is ok forward we would be 40-50 wins team. Is that a lot that I am asking? Nothing spectacular, just ok/average players and we would would get to another level. Please get rid of them!!!! Nuff said.

Steal....Kills...??

Isn't this some sort of incendiary speech? Won't it cause someone to get a gun and go shoot a basketball player somewhere?
