I expect that the point guard for the Warriors will be the guard who impresses Nelson the most at that position. So, there may well be more than one point guard and change as the season progresses.

Nelson is in strange territory since his guards are all young. He's told the press that he'll be mellow from here on out, sorta halfway set out to pasture, but I anticipate we'll see him hollering at the guards more than in past years. The Warriors will be working on their half court game instead of taking 3 pt shots or one-on-one's when the fast break doesn't happen. This will be new to Ellis. So, we'll see him being yelled at. Jackson will be more important than ever.

Why couldn't the merc have added something like that to their article? Are you a season ticketholder too?

Not a season ticket holder. I've attended some of the games, but am too cheap to get the good seats. I once had a court side seat (row 2) at a Lakers game in the 1960's, when I was a kid from an organized team from a neighborhood park in Hawthorne, California. Unfortunately, Jerry West was sick and didn't play, but Elgin Baylor played and he defied gravity. In fact, the whole court seemed like a super fast ballet...manly ballet of course. It was amazing. Sure beat the pants off of watching 9 innings of baseball. If I was an owner of a NBA team, I'd dedicate a 1/3 of the court side seats to kids in their early teens or just a skosh younger. As for the Merc, the newspapers have to go through a transition and haven't yet done it. That transition is for the corporations to sell off their loser papers to private concerns who will run them like family papers again. Newspaper can only be profitable if they carry quality content. That's just not happening much anymore.
