The Mavs taking Marbury will be even worse than when they took Kidd, and getting rid of Johnson. Cuban may be a internet wiz, but basketball matters, he's lost. He's a good owner, but he needs to go to the owners box and stop holding the players hand and looking over the employers shoulders. would you want your boss doing that?

When the Knicks end the season as the eighth seed and they lose in the playoffs because their point guard sucks..please remember you wished away the best player on the team

Cuban's gonna be too busy trying to stay out of jail for insider trading to deal with basketball trades. Who ever heard of Mamma.com ?????

Hey, I don't blame Steph as much as some do but here is the reality. "When the Knicks end the season as the eighth seed" and make the playoffs they will have accomplished something without Marbury that they have not in the last many years with Marbury. Don't kid yourself.

If some people still don't get that no team has enjoyed life with Steph, then there's no point in arguing!

Ken, You have a crush on Marbury! You can not pick up your laptop without writing something about Steph. Move on, he is not even on the court, write about the game. Stop kissing Dolan's a$$.

*LOL* How many playoff series has "the best player on the team" won in his 12 failed years in the NBA.

He is a slightly above average talent, with a horrible attitude and no knowledge of how to play the game.

He could no more change this than Larry Bird could learn a 45 inch vertical leap or Mugsy Bouges could teach himself to be 7'1".

He is a cancer and the epitome of the term "LOSER".
He has always been a loser and will always be a loser and will drag down any team stupid enough to acquire him.

I give Walsh and D'Antoni tons of credit for finally standing up to this loser and cutting away the cancer for the organization.

Read my post so that you won't have to be embarrassed when I tell you what you could have read on your own before posting. I never said the Knicks did not make the playoffs with Stephon Marbury - I stated "When the Knicks end the season as the eighth seed and make the playoffs they will have accomplished something without Marbury that they have not in the last many years with Marbury". Now that was in response to "OBoy" saying that when the Knicks make the playoffs and lose in the first round because they don't play Marbury then blah blah blah blah. These are all opinions - everyone is entitled to them. You are not however, entitled to your own facts. You ask me to get my facts straight when in FACT you have not addressed a fact, only an opinion. My opinion is that since 2004 is many years for a team with a large payroll in support of a supposed star to NOT make the playoffs. I don't blame Marbury for all of that but it is ironic that some fan wants to defend a player by stating that the Knicks will make the playoffs (they have not done so in a while with Marbury) and then say they will miss Marbury at that point. HOW?
Perhaps our perspectives are different. I don't think that being in a playoff hunt is what this team was capable of these past few years. Especially if all that means is staying 4 games under .500 to get the last spot and then lose in the first round. I stated that I don't blame Marbury as much as most people do but your defense of him does more harm for his case than my analysis that I posted in regards to "OBoy"s post. Keep your cool. I didn't even go the route of saying that Marbury has not won a playoff series. There is a lot more to say if a person wanted to bury Stephon. I am not here to do that but don't go off a cliff to defend him and invite the rest of us to go along.

Marbury the best player on the team??.. doing what playing one on one.. his track record proves he's nothing but a selfish moron and whoever picks him up should expect to go nowhere like every team 'Starbury', the cancer ever played on.... word in the NBA is if you can't get along with Kevin Garnett there is something wrong with you.. that would be your boy Starbury, the biggest head case ever to wear a Knicks uniform..

The Suns are too smart to ever take that cancer back.. the first thing he would do is proclaim himself better than Nash just like he thought he was better than Alan Houston.. He's a punk plain and simple and he's finally geting back all the smack he's thrown around for years.. good riddens!

Don't kid yourself either. Marbury is the ONLY current Knick to play in the playoffs as a Knick. And he got the Knicks there ALL BY HIMSELF!! Only true knick fans know the history.

Cuban is taking a page out of the Jerry Jones (Dallas Cowboys) "How To Pickem" playbook.
