Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

MIAMI "Shaq is back!" was Tuesday's marketing promotion. He wasn't. But the Heat was.

Just play and win, no more trades as its midseason!

Eddie Jones and the Heat had to part ways because he was making too much money. All the Heat fans loved his game and his character, but he was making 25+ ppg type money when his best contributions were his tenacious defense (he did a great job guarding Rip Hamilton in the playoffs) and his three point shooting. If he made 1/2 or 2/3 the money he did it would have been a happy marriage to this day.

Well now the Heat can have him for half the price. What's more is he'll be hungry to win. You can bet he remembers the Pistons beating him on his home floor in games 7 of the East finals. That's exactly what's needed for

YOUR
MIAMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAA AAT!!!!!!!!!!

He's also a lot older and isn't the player he was when he was here before. That said, I bet money that Riles is already planning to blow up this team, if not before the trade deadline, then in the offseason. I bet we see Haslem, Kapono, Doleac, Posey, and Wright go for a big name - and not a pg (although those could be his initials <wink wink>). It makes no sense to me, but I hear they are looking ar Ricky Davis again.

... and let's give it up for unsung hero Michael Doleac, the best backup center in the NBA. 32 minutes, 5-8 shooting, 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists. Way to go, Michael!

Pat "The Future is Now" Riley needs to get a grip on himself and BUILD a team instead of trading away the future for a quick hit at glory. Keep in mind that Pat "I Don't Want Anyone on My Team with More Athletic Ability than I Had" Riley had to be almost forcibly restrained from drafting T.J. Ford over D-Wade. A personnel genius Pat "Look at Me, Look at Me" RIley isn't.

While Shaq is def on the downhill side of career, the Heat wouldn't have that banner without him. As great as D-Wade is or will be, he couldn't have done it without the big fellah.

I'm telling you though, something is going down soon. There will be some changes.

It's been frustrating watching Mourning busting his ass night in and out the whole year while the camera focuses on Shaq laughing and joking during the game. Mourning is playing without being "1000%" blubber boy! Get your ass on the court Shaq!

Badfish is right. If Shaq can be capturing criminals, then he can be on the court with his team. Seems like his knee and calf were okay when he was fighting crime. Shaq is much younger than Clemens and this crap about playing only 1/2 a season is getting old. The Heat are currently out of the playoffs and don't compare to their competitors. Pat "I Like an Older Team" Riley did nothing during the off-season while the other teams reloaded. Maybe it's time for Pat "I am so great and so beautiful and so, so smart" Riley to take a hike and get someone running this team who wants to build a franchise, not feed his ego. As for Shaq, get off your butt, big fellah and get your big butt out on the court and earn your $$$$.

I am not nor would I defend Shaq being a slacker. Zo is a warrior and deserves props for it.

So, who do the Heat send to Sac for Bibby besides Posey?
