All this proves is that Otis Smith cannot tell the truth.
When asked if the story was true concerning Dooling, he said that 'he couldn't comment on a story he knew nothing about'.
We would do well to NEVER ask him another question unless we want to hear some 'Obama' type answer.

We should have added Jameer Nelson for Devin Harris in this deal. I feel that Harris is more of a true point guard than Nelson. We should stew up some kind of trade to land a point guard like Harris with alot of upside and some real experience.

What do Otis Smith' s and B. Hussein Obama's inability to answer questions with clear, factual responses have to do with Saddam Hussein and WOMDs? Logic amd rational thinking have never been hallmarks of Obama supporters. Empty heads supporting an empty suit.

Unfortunately I learned long ago GM’s & heads of professional sports teams have to deal in semantics when providing info to the fan base. We will never know what is truly going on behind closed doors until a deal is done. My guess is they manipulate & use the media to hide their true intensions 9 times out of 10. I take comfort in knowing all the lies & deception are done in the best interest of the Magic.

i just thought some people might want a heads up. javaris crittenton has been training with mark price (mainly to improve his jumpshot) to work on his game. just random news anyway i think the magic will use the trade exception close to the trade deadline for a good player wanting to get out of a tough situation (a la pau gasol).

The ends don't justify the means. Throughout history a lot of harm has been done "serving" someone's best interests. Lies and deceit are the tools of cowards, not brave men. Discretion, on the other hand, is the better part of valour.

I'm confused, Tyrone. Did Mike compare Otis to Obama?... or did he say something about WMDs?
Did you infer that he must in fact be the last person in America to believe such a thing based on his comment about Obama? Your inference is evidence of extreme intelligence.
"Socialism, like the ancient ideas from which it springs, confuses the distinction between government and society. As a result of this, every time we object to a thing being done by government, the socialists conclude that we object to its being done at all. We disapprove of state education. Then the socialists say that we are opposed to any education. We object to a state religion. Then the socialists say that we want no religion at all. We object to a state-enforced equality. Then they say that we are against equality. And so on, and so on. It is as if the socialists were to accuse us of not wanting persons to eat because we do not want the state to raise grain." — The Law

seriously lets get back to magic basketball...

so long keyon! thanks for the 3 years of excitement and hustle. Just as when we played for the heat, you just know he's gonna come home and light us up on a thunderous dunk and go running down the court with that darrel armstrong look on his face. Happy trails buddy, wish the magic could have made it work (you know they wanted to) but business is business. I hope the Jersey fans greet you with open arms, cause they got a good one.

And cash considerations? 3.3 mil to the magic... seems like they could attach cook and/or JJ to a deal and lock up enough $$ to get another quality big or another pg (arroyo possibly). anyway you look at it, the magic are definitely a step up from last year and i am getting excited for the onslaught to begin. go blue!

The article implies that the trade exception can be combined with a player's salary in a trade so it will match up with a player with a higher salary. This is not true. It cannot be combined with a player's salary. I wish the Sentinel would employ writers who could report and analyze the moves they are making because it allows Otis to hide behind their ignorance. The whole Dooling affair was a perfect example of this. I don't blame Otis for this. I do blame the Sentinel. They give him cover.

Otis stated in the article that the exception doesn't have anybody's name on it, so I guess we can assume that the exception does have a name on it.

...a la JJ Redick)

Short and sweet. Doesn't matter what he does with it. He helped screw up the Warriors then came down here and has done the same thing.
There's currently No Improvement in the Magic team with the exception of the 5 points and 3 rebound average that Battie has, lol.

The money goes like this: Boston, Philly, Detroit, Toronto, Atlanta, Knicks, Orlando and also rans that can be surprises.

Read it and weep.

Yes, it is obvious Otis is really screwing up the Magic like he did the Warriors. I mean gosh, just look at their plummeting record and everything.

Here's my Famous Comeback! Dwight rips up his knee and is out 1/2 the season or more...NOT TO WORRY! In comes the savior of the Magic Mr. Adonyl Foyle!

That's a cool thought huh?
Anyway someone asked me how I would fix the Magic better than Otis... Well, I'd fire myself (like Otis should)... Get Jerry West as Pres & GM, offer Mike D'Antoni whatever he wanted to Coach here and then keep Dwight and get rid of the rest of the riff raff and start new. West/D'Antoini would have a Finals team in 2 years... as it stands now the Magic have a snowballs chance in KeyWest of being a Finals team in the next 15 years!

Yeah, but why would NJ want to trade Harris for Jameer?

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Sagittarius

It's difficult to keep your mind on what you're doing today because it keeps wandering off in all directions. There won't be much you can do about this except to be aware of it, and preferably to postpone doing anything very complicated or important until you're less distracted and absent-minded. Unfortunately, you won't get very far with it at the moment.
