For Dumars to trade Billups for Hedo he would have to smoke some of the crack that your smoking now.
You must be smoking crack if you dont think he would do that deal. The numbers wouldnt match up though. Billups is old and hedo is on the rise.

Hedo is what you call a late bloomer my friend..He's 29, in basketball thats not young. A blind squirrel will find a nut every once in a while. Let's see if he has that kind of year again.

I did not like us resigning Jameer at all. The guy is a backup point guard. He shows "flashes" but we need consist play especially form his position.
ehh i doubt you'll see any flashes he's getting 7 mil for the next few years he'll end up flopping in 3 years. the guys not mugsy bouges so he's more a jacque vaughn he's good as a back up point guard. tell me who is a starting point that's under 6 ft in the league now???

Because Pietrus can also play SF I would not be surprised if we traded Hedo, a SG and draft pick for a couple of major players. Starter PG (IE. Billups as an example) and a backup PF. Then we would have almost all the pieces we needed.

What a great move this would be.

This is another terrible move. Why did we go after Duhon? because of his defense. Williams can't even defend himself against some of the lame weed/thug jokes that are being posted right now. This isn't the Jason Williams from the 10 years ago. this isn't the Jason Williams who was traded for Mike Bibby, and then lost his job to Earl Watson. this is the Jason Williams who lost his job to Chris Freaking Quinn last season. I like that Otis Smith eats at Waffle House, but that doesn't mean he needs to look for our backup point guard there as well.

I would love to see them take the risk and sign shaun livingston. Hes young and if he gets back to anywhere near where he was it would be great for the magic. Plus he is 6'7" so if you average him and jameer you get 6'3.5" and that is a good sized guard.

It looks like the starting roster for the Magic will be: Jameer, Pietrus, Lewis, Battie and Howard. The second team may very well be: Williams, Lee, Hedo, Gortat and Foyle.
I don't think the Magic will advance any further in the playoffs this coming season with such a roster.
What's up with this, Otis? You are obsessed with keeping Jameer, the one starter that can't hold his defensive ground against any other starting point guard in the league!! Nelson is not good enough in both ends of the court to be a starter in the NBA. Everybody who isn't blind can see that - why can't you? Or should I ask: why does the Devos family put up with your bad judgement?

Its funny that the magic always seem to be picking at scraps when it comes to free agents. I mean Maggette was ours from the start and scored what 21 points a game last year and we barely pushed for him. Instead we get Pietrus 8.1 ppg and we label him a great 3 point shooter and defender. Before the magic signed him I didn't even know he was a free agent this year, as I am sure most of you would agree. So once again we get the short end of the stick, no maggette, no duhon, no brand, no help, just a maybe starter who is not proven, either as a winner or a cohesive piece to a winning puzzle.

Not to mention, before Mr. Otis started his blunders lets just list the people that the magic have let go/lost or traded, and you all tell me how you feel about it. Shaquille Oneal, Tracy Mcgrady, Ben Wallace, Chauncey Billups, Corey Maggette, and Mike Miller, to name a few, all of which were All-stars, or very close to that status at one point in thier career after the magic got rid of them.

get rid of jj and we can have dooling (bird rights) and white chocolate (veteran's minimum).
your post is nuts. Dooling won't sign for the little bit that the Magic have offered. and J. Williams is hanging out for more money then the vet min.
And the trade value of Redick is near zero since the Magic rarely used him then with the draft of Lee that dropped his value more.
Bogans, Cook, Battie and Hedo are the only players of value on the team that the Magic may trade though I see the Magic holding on to Hedo then doing a Darko with Hedo next season.

Oh yea Pietrus can play all of those positions so well that he got benched. Pietrus was a backup SG and nothing else so if the Magic follow your plan they will be back in the lottery next year.

are you kidding? if you believe that, you dont watch NBA basketball.. ne never was healthy after his surgery.. a health JWILL is better than half of the current starting PGs in the league... a healthy Jwill will avg 12 points and 8 asst a game.. not back for "a back up:
