Moving Turkoglu is only a good option if the magic are positive he will opt out after next year and we wont have the money to afford his price......... If that is going to happen I say we go ahead and trade him for Maggette....... Other wise we should keep what we have Resign Dooling and try and go after Pietrus or another PF from somewhere.......

It's too bad that Posey and Thomas are out of Orlando's price range. The duo could certainly bring some sorely need championship experience that might help us get over the top.
I think the only intriguing name on that potential list was Pietrus. He's versatile, and he's accustomed to running that up and down style of basketball that they play at Golden State. Other than him, I think bringing in anyone else would be a wash (EX: Duhon as a replacement for Arroyo, etc.)

Forget Maggette. Get Duhon and Carl Landry or Milsap. Pietrus would be a nice pickup also.

Bargain? The citizen's of Orland are shelling out for a new stadium. How about the Magic spend a little cash to get a player that will actually make a difference? The Magic make me sick.
First of all, the "citizens of Orland," as you put it are not footing the bill for the new event center stupid. The tourist tax will pay for most of the center, with the Magic picking up most of the rest of the tab. I thought we had settled that issue about a year ago, but some folks just can't seem to understand. If the Magic make you so sick, than stay off the site and keep your retarded butt at home and watch all the fishing shows, tractor pulls and rodeos you can stand.

this is that bull. You never hear about the Lakers, Heat, or Mavericks being "fiscally responsible" They improve there team by any and all means. We have enough stiffs already. But no, you throw out names like Chris Duhoun and Jason Williams. If we want a mediocre backup point guard we might as well keep Arroyo.
They are also big markets and get money off of cable deals.
Also Miami is trying to cut costs to same money for LeBron and d- wade in 2010.
There is a salary cap that we are near due to the guys we have under contract.

Actually you are not totally correct yes the tourist tax will cover a lot, but since the bond market has sort of tanked it is costing the City of Orlando a lot more because they are having a problem selling the bonds so they are upping the interest that the bonds will pay. The tourist tax will not pay everything so you are going to pay something after all. Orlando hasn't sold all of the bonds yet because they couldn't find enough buyers for the bonds unless they offer even more interest.
So before you start calling people stupid you should check your facts.

The NJ Nets are interested in Pietrus and Pietrus has already said that he would love to play for the Nets so that might end that. The only player that the Nets would like better then him would be Corey.
