Then you figure out a way to get Cory Magette. Sign and trade ... etc. You do whatever you have to do to get this guy in a Magic uni. He will put this team into serious contention. Get it done Otis.

We should send Howard to the LA Clippers for development and try to get him back in 9 years....

Offer Paul Milsap (PF from Utah)$2 mil and see if they counter. If they do go to $3. This guy is worth it!! Resign dooling and sign Shaun Livingston and see if he can play again. he is a talent that must be given a chance. And since we don't need a starter he would not be pressured to play long minutes!! Just come in and relieve Nelson or Dooling or Lee. We can't get Maggette or Davis and shouldn't want Williams. There is a reason he has been bounced around the league.

i would have said posey, but magettee is wanting way to much we'd have to loose probably jj and turk to get magette while we can look at pietrus and duhon for some defense. i say spilt the MLE with pietrus and duhon while trading at least 2 pieces (mainly jj and turk ranging at about 8 mil for a draft pick and cash consideration that would probably give a good look by teams like philly and a few lottery teams to make sure they can become 8-6 in the playoffs). a good benefit you can throw in is that they'd be playing with dwight howard and rashad lewis which you could make a throw and say that would be serious contendersand play to each one's unhapiness with the other's previous teams b/c you know duhon would be looking for that lets face it rose might end up choking up on his first season. also would be next to disney world most of the time.

thats me playing gm and marketing guy.

I just thought about something..Go to the Bobcats and ask them if they would be willing to trade Weaver to us for a future 2nd rounder and cash? That guy WILL be a good player! Then we won't need to sign a Vet point and save some cash to sign Turk next season!

Go with a smaller point guard??? HUH? thats are problem now. Our guards are to small. Weaver is known for his defence and he is around 6'5. That is what we need.

We don't have to give up Turk to get Magette.

Magette! Magette! Magette!

We might lose JJ. What a diaster. Perish the thought.

We want Magette. Gabe would get it done. Otis...talk to Gabe ...he'll explain how it's done.

Otis is a pansy, no trades will be made, just look for him to sign the best he can get for the cheapest. Otis loves garage sales.

this is that bull. You never hear about the Lakers, Heat, or Mavericks being "fiscally responsible" They improve there team by any and all means. We have enough stiffs already. But no, you throw out names like Chris Duhoun and Jason Williams. If we want a mediocre backup point guard we might as well keep Arroyo.

Magette wants to play here pretty bad. this is second or third time he has went public sayin he wants orlando to make an offer. It seems like a no brainer to me (Sign Magette!)I personally will not be happy with theses other names being mentioned. but we will probably end up with Pietrus or J Williams.

Pietrus is the best deal for the Magic. Not expensive, defensive minded, shoots the three very well. We don't need Maggette, he's too old and would only serve Orlando for a couple of years. Pietrus is much closer to Howard's age and they can play together for longer. He's fast and can finish just as well as Maggette. I say go after Pietrus, Maggette is just another Vince Carter when it comes to the post season. We all saw what Pietrus and Golden State did to the Mavs last year.

So one day the Slantinel says the Magic have the possiblity of getting Maggette. Then the next day they say the Magic can't get Maggette. Hmmm...sounds like WFTV and the Slantinel are drinking from the same water. (In case you missed it WFTV reported Winter Park developer Steve Walsh's death was a homicide before the offical ME's report came out ruling it a suicide.)

Whatever happened to this "creative financing" we heard so much about last summer? If Otis had not jumped the gun and overpaid Jameer (not to mention Rashard), we'd have a ton more cap room and flexibility to go after a guy like Maggette this off-season. Instaed we are already showing signs of being financially strapped and we still are pieces away from being true contenders. There's nothing "creative" about what Otis has done here, a third grader could have got us in this position.

BTW, there's no excuse for not adding a draft pick and picking up Dorsey or Arthur in Wednesday's draft. Dorsey was EXACTLY what this team needed and Otis blew it...again.

Bargain? The citizen's of Orland are shelling out for a new stadium. How about the Magic spend a little cash to get a player that will actually make a difference? The Magic make me sick.

So which is it Sentinel? Is Maggete out of our range or is he willing to take less to return to the Magic? You've reported both.
