S Van Gundy was acting like a genious who deserved credit for his creative use of the lineup during the post game interview for doing something that 2 million magic fans were telling him to do for a longest time....

Road Warriors. Congrats to Mo Evans for the career high. It was also nice to see the "Human Victory Cigars" kick butt for a change instead of blow away big leads.

Go Maigic!

Van Gundy noticed that JJ can score in double figures in "one" quarter and tham Mo evans can score if they pass him the ball when he slashes (he is the best player without the ball in the team but most the time he gets ignored by himself next to the basket) or that Foyle can rebound and block shots (imagine how many more games they would've won if Van Gundy had played him with howard as twin towers to prevent so many second chances to the other team)

I love the Magic but they are inconsistent. IF they get pass the first round, they'll get swept by Detroit or hammered by another team.

Useless game.
As far as JJ goes he never should have played. If I remember the season correctly JJ has averaged a Point a minute in the short amount of minutes he has gotten to play.

Van Gundy and Smith have known since training camp he is a scoring machine. The defense rap is BS...no one on that team and throughout the entire NBA play defense to any great extent.
If the scores were 65 to 61 the league would fail. Fans would be even more bored than they are now.

After scoring the 27 I bet Evans' voice was probably 15 decibels higher than a drag queen sing off.
Let's see what the playoffs bring. I assure you JJ & Carlos fans they will be lucky to get off the bench at all.
Bring on Detroit!

Glad to see we finally beat the Hawks as that team has had our number for some time.

4th quarter was fun to watch! Mo had a great game and I enjoy watching him play. Trevor who? Otis made a steal in that trade, especially since we got 2 for 1. Hopefully Cook can make it back sooner than later!

JJ played well and he held his own on the defensive end of the floor as well. You would think they would of tried to post him up with Childress, but they couldn't get him the ball. JJ doesn't have the athletism, but he's got a high basketball IQ and boy can he score!

Let's beat the Wizards tomorrow night to bring up them down a notch or two. Although, my call is the Wiz beat the Cavs in six!

GO MAGIC!

Are you even a MAGIC fan? You sound like some dumb sports critic.... The Hawks were playing to win and J.J and the rest of them put that to rest!!

AHHH....Well J.J can play and score, Garrity still has something to give, and I hope Vangundy can bring it upon himself to play Foyle at the center and Howard at PF sometimes during the hard times we will face during the play offs. If you put Evans at point and Turk at the 2 then Lewis at the 3 we could be o k on scoring and D at times. Mix it up Stan!!

No, I'm not a Magic fan. The only reason I follow them is because I'm a JJ fan and Duke Rules.

The Magic management sucks and I dont care if the won 60 games they still are a # 10 or 11 NBA team.

We are all still praying the idiot twins (Smith & VanGrunty) will trade him ASAP. He hates it there and has been treated like scum, so why would they even put him in for 12 minutes? He's just going to sit the rest of the playoffs.

Now you know Longtime Loser, LOL!

i like how "LMAO" conveniently forgets how awful JJ plays when given meaningful minutes, like how he let us lose the sixers game at the end by letting willie green torch him for 8 straight points in the final 4 minutes to seal that game away or how he turns the ball over when he tries to do things he cant like take his man off the dribble or how he doesnt run hard off his screens

he can looks great in his garbage minutes when he is actually running around hard like he is reggie miller and the other team knows they already lost so he doesnt have to worry at the defensive end and not worry about getting torched

so dont even bother following our team since ur not a real fan and while you at it you can go curse the rest of the nba b/c their all stupid for not letting mateen cleeves get a roster spot either LOL

so until you boy JJ proves hes nothing more than an awesome garbage time player you and him can both take a lesson and shut up

Smith does need to go and Stan has a anger problem. J.J is being played now to make it look like he has value. Which he does. The Magic "WILL" trade J.J and either move up or trade for the guy they want!! I HOPE!!

It will be interesting to see who plays in tomorrow nights game in Orlando vs the Wizards. I would reduce the starters minutes significantly.

Bring on the playoffs already. The Magic need to win game 1 vs the Raptors or I am afraid they will go on to lose the series.

Nice performance, solid win, but ultimately you could see that both teams were not overly into the game, and were looking towards the weekend.

A couple of things that came out of it - firstly, Keyon Dooling playing like a true point guard. He's never averaged more than 2.2apg in an NBA season, and it could be far too late for him to change his offensive mentality now, but his distribution last night was outstanding. He will likely always be a 'combo guard'- point guard's body, shooting guard's mentality - but if he could find some sort of balance to get his team-mates involved more, he could become even more important to the Magic.

Also, as someone else pointed out, Mo Evans movement and cutting off the ball is excellent. He's been doing that for a while now, and if the Magic can look to find him more, they will get a lot more easy points. It seems every time Dwight is double teamed, Mo gets himself open under the basket.

Mo Evans has been a great surprise, I like how he hustles on the offensive board and how he cuts to the basket. I hope we keep him.

@Newsflash
Dwight and Foyle at the same time on the floor wouldn't work most of the time offensively. Both Dwight and Foyle need to be close to the basket to be effective, drawing both their defenders also close to the basket and making it easier for the opposing team to double team Dwight and protecting the paint. Foyle would need to have an outside game like Battie.

I hoped Augustine could develop into a similar player like Battie but he looked lost out there.

Why are people still talking about JJ. He made it to the end of the bench last December. He couldnt beat out Bogans, he had a chance to do that you know. Evans came in and beat him out and Dooling beat him out. JJ can come back next year and try again, besides when are you going to realize offense is not the problem this team faces. The one thing this team doesnt need is more offense. We have plenty of weapons. Lets see how our PG hold up under playoff pressure. That will determine how far we go more than anything else.

"People" aren't, Bud is... endlessly. If JJ was any good why didn't his own coach pick him to play on the USA basketball team?

My prediction is that JJ will continue to sit on the end of the Magic bench for another season, then go sit on the bench in Europe or Asia until they discover that he's useless as well.

You're on point. So true. I realize that when you have 'superstars' on your team, Evans will be the last option but he's got potential

Our Magic are soft. They are inconsistent, scoring in bunches but willing to just give-up the lead quickly. They give up the lead by being out-hustled on rebounds or lazy going after balls, allowing teams second and third chances. Then they get lazy and have passes picked-off on the offensive end which allows the opponent fast breaks. Often, the Magic overcome these scenarios with talent and win the game anyway. This will become a problem in the playoffs, however, and I predict a difficult time getting past the Raptors for this reason.

Alright guys, J.J. can play and we have seen glimpses of it over the past 2 years. We do need to keep him. He is a scoring machine that can heat up quickly. I can just see him going to the Cavs or Celtics and killing us in the playoffs someday.

However, it does seem like LMAO would like to give a B J to J J.
