HEY Otis guess who is the starter for the Lakers. How about Trevor in his first start had 14 points and 7 rebounds with a couple of power dunks against the Suns. The Lakers love him for his defense. The announcer said that with the Magic that they couldnt find any minutes for Ariza and then he kinda laughed. He shot 7 for 12 which aint bad at all either. Whats your next good deal for the Magic??

Well Otis, your in for the long run, maybe you should have used that idea before your traded Ariza. He started for LA tonight and scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and played great D-E-F-E-N-C-E. Could you tell me how Cook played tonight? Evans is no Ariza so quit the BS on that.

SVG, you blew this one, you let a great defender get away and now he will haunt you every time you play LA.

Too bad...if you just would have given him a chance but I guess its not all your fault...after all he wasn't one of the big buck players so he was a shoe in for minutes whether your playing good or not.

Basketball is about money, not talent.

LaughinMyAssOff. Bogans, Dooling, Evans,Foyle play D-E-F-E-N-S-E. And this is good because? I must have been watching the wrong team? The team is currently playing 2 players. A center and a forward. The forementioned defense experts cant stop anyone, the best shooter in the league sits on the bench, and SVG is a screamer and thats a good thing "chuckle" hasn't seemed to work yet. But wait..Hold on...when they are 18 and 18 then..oh well forget it nothings gonna change.
Smiths digging his grave and that comment about when they were 16-4 goes to show how much he knows about anything. I think Stan bit off more than he can chew and I know Smith did.
My starters: Dwight, Hedo, JJ, Dooling, Foyle and I suppose Lewis as 6th man if he gets over his headache. Gurgle.

I guess You are not happy with the Ariza trade.

OUCH!!

Well it appears he is going to be getting minutes in L.A. for sure.

One game doesn't mean much, but I like what I saw today from him.

If you could get kidd you take him, nelson is a good non-starter who should come of the bench maybe behind carlos, he is not the play maker we need, and we need one more good defender

otis said you have to be patient the magic have nod done anything since the finals over 10 yrs. ago how patient or how long does it take, we seen horrible draft picking terrible trades management etc. etc. and now we have to be patient and look at the big picture well what is the big picture, another mediocre year and lucky to be in the playoffs and lose first round. well in that case you can do that with one less fan.

Trevor Ariza is an All-Star, he had 7pts and 2rb against the Knicks and 4pts and 2rb against the Sixers and averaging 4pts and 2 rbs a game.

Give him $100MM contract.

"Smith declared Jameer Nelson as his point guard of the future."

That's one of the craziest things you can say when you are on nitrous oxide (laughing gas).

I'm STILL GLAD to be a MAGIC FAN!!! Any of you who aren't happy with our team can be fans of th CAV'S, HEAT, RAPTORS, NETS, AND BULLS...all of whom were suppose to be better than us, but if you check the rear view mirror you'll see them because they're behind us! Yes, we need a solid PG, and PF playing two SF is hurting us, but I believe that Otis and Stan will get it together!!! GO MAGIC!!!

"It's a societal thing.... microwaves, computers.... It's a generation gap," Smith said. "You know what hard work is, but you have to learn how to do it. We have to teach them to work hard every day, so they understand how to do it. Do I think it's an issue? Yes, it's an issue. We have to work through it, and eventually we will."

That is brilliant - That is the wisdom from the guy responsible for putting this team together.

Until the Scamway people are gone we will continue to be the joke of the league.

I have a lot of confidence in the coaching staff. It takes a long time to change the ingrained habits of men. I believe that championships start with stopping the other team consistently and the Magic have the staff, to get it done. I feel there will be a happy new year in Magic land. Jim in Maine

I am tired of hear the SVG excuse of defense. Please, the magic have one of the best FG% defense of the league. But now, you only win if you score more point that the other team. It is time to start the only natural PG of this team so he can create plays for others and the offense can run better.
SVG need to recognize that the team is having problem scoring the ball in the last 10 games. Inclusive in the win against the Rockets they shoot only 41%.

Agreed, and let's add the Wizards to the list of those in the mirror who were suppose to be ahead of us!

The problem is an indecisive point guard in the 4th quarter. Be a leader and set up the play Jameer. Then get out of the way.

Finally somebody on here with some sense. That right there kills us most of the time. And Rashard needs to become a ballhog and take more shots. And if the Magic could ever defend the pick and roll with have a chance to win. And whatever happen to the Magic running up and down the court???
