Pacers beat Bulls 98-91

Full story: Chicago Tribune

Who needs Danny Granger and Mike Dunleavy? Troy Murphy had a season-high 27 points and the Indiana Pacers , still without their two injured scoring leaders, survived a second-half stretch of 11 minutes without ...

A game we should have won.

T.J Ford beat us this game. What was Hinrich & Rose doing out there on the defensive end ? They made Ford look like D wade out there....All of his baskets in the 4th killed us.

I must say I like the new rotation, but we can't forget about the guys who were already here, that are playing well. Tyrus played well & he sat out a longtime, along with Noah. Miller is a good pick up, but Noah would of blocked some of Ford's shots in the paint... Salmon's is a keeper who can help spread the floor with Gordon. Speaking about Gordon, why didn't vinny run more plays for Gordon in the 2nd half ?(He was on fire 9-11 Fg's in the 1st half) I know he finished with 20 shots, but most of those were desperation shots toward the end.

I think Rose has hit the wall, but that's where Kurt is suppose to step up but, he played just as worst as Rose on D.

If Pax would have signed Kurt to maybe 8 mil per year, Deng 9 mil per year, Gordon would have taken the 5yr 50mil deal. There is no way on Deng's & Hinrich best day can they do what Gordon does.

This recent trade is going to help the Bulls and after one game I can see Salmons is a good defensive player with a nice touch who knows how to play.

lame game to watch...VDN is very weak as a coach. Horrible substitution patterns, where he takes D Rose out of the game two min into 2nd half. Crazy. On top of that, they played down to the competition (which in truth, was about even actually). When Stacey King sounded dead serious talking about a 42-40 record and the 5th seed in playoffs, I spit my cereal out in laughter.

Vinny cost the Bulls this game... He should have run plays for ben and since kirk wasn't playing defense today, Rose has to be in the game. Rose is the franchise, he must play, you are not winning a championship this year. Let Rose learn!!!!

VDN is terrible. We had some nice games against Denver and Milwaukee. I felt like the Bulls finally found some combinations and were figuring out how to utilize there strengths. The first game VDN has to use the new players he screws up what seemed to be a decent formula. I agree, the coach has to tell the team that the when Gordon is hot they need to keep helping him find open shots withing the flow of the game. What ends up happening is that Gordon gets frustrated because he knows he's got it going and than starts throwing up desparation shots. Thomas should not have sat so long when he has been playing so well just to get the new guys some floor time. I understand you have to try and work them in, but they should be worked in a manner that does not disturb the momentum they had built going in to this game. Its so frustrating being a bulls fan some times, but I love this franchise and keep hoping for the best. This coach is not the answer. I still believe in in alot of the players, but they need some COACHING!

Lamar, I agree. Gordon is under appreciated and under utilized. The coaches do not know how to get the players on the floor to recognize when he is the hot man and keep getting him shots within the flow. He usually ends up throwing up shots in desparation and looks bad. Gordon is a big time scorer who I believe will average 25 points a game next year if he is with a team that has a coach and players that will recognize his skills. Thought it was funny to see Larry Hughes 1-9 in Newyork. He is awful

After playing one great game in months against Milwaukee Kirk Hinrich is back to Capt. Klank. When Ben Gordon is on he is ON. This summer the Bulls have to sign Gordon if at all possible. I'm all for trading Hinrich's contract in the offseason which shouldn't be much of a problem since his salary decreases each year. When the new Bulls get coordinated with the system this 2nd unit lineup is an offensive juggernaut:

Derrick Rose
Ben Gordon
John Salmons
Tim Thomas
Brad Miller

Vinny, anytime you can leave Derrick Rose on the floor please "Leave Him On the Floor!" Let Rose learn how to play in crunch time no matter what. TJ Ford made Kirk Hinrich look like Dragon Tarlac.
