Williams has got to be mentally ill not to show up for a court date in his position and knowing the clubs and the fans feelings.

Bird quote sends the wrong message. It just looks like your going to baby a very immature person. That is why Birdgets paid the big bucks to deal with situations like this. Bird cuts bad behavior to much slack in my opinion. This does not build a class organization.

A good kid made a bad decision? I think he's a defiant one doing whatever he feels like. Cut him lose so we don't have to deal with another one all year! Geesh!

Well when are the Pacers really going to streaten up the teem. Ever time that I saw the TV adds on the Pacers It made me sick. They got rid of Carlyle because they would not stand be hind him and what he whated to make the babies do there jobs. I sure lost respect for Larry. He only gave this little boy three games off.It shouls have been half the season and a big fine. I hope they keep this kid on the bench. I would have rather had to had a loseing basketball team that a team of disrespectful little boys. Like we had in the past and now.

As long as the management of the Pacers
continue to be the "enablers" by meting out such insignificant punishments to their "employees", the spoiled, indifferent, disobedient little boys will continue to "play" you for all you are worth. Your little boy is spoiled rotten and thinks he's a real big shot who answers to no one but himself. Wake up and get with it Larry!

The sad thing is that this happens daily to the common public and nobody hears about it. Because it's an athlete in pro sports, it's a headline. I don't condone it, and I think the kid's a darn moron and should be punished harshly...but this isn't an uncommon event.

He missed the court date because he was taking the test to get his driver's license.

Hey Larry, What are the going rates for babysitting these days? You have to do everything else for the yahoos, you may as well go ahead and play the game for them as well. Of course they would sue you if you didn't go ahead and pay them. They still have to buy their drugs, guns or whatever else they want to buy.

It is time to get rid of ALL the trouble makers including Mr. Whinner, Jermaine O'Neal, he too has been in trouble with the law. He fought the Law and He won. Clean House Larry and start over. I wouldn't give you fifthteen cents for the whole job lot. Jeff Foster is the only one that is left that has any sense. Too bad Austin Croshere had to leave. I see into the future and I don't like what I see. Drugs, Booze, guns and fist fights don't get it. What an example before our children. Is this what you want your son to grow to be like? I don't think so, but you are telling him different by keeping these hoodlams on the team and rewarding them with a BIG paycheck. I see something wrong with this picture. You teach people by example. You personally have been a good example, but you are letting these jerks ruin your own reputation. Don't reward them for doing wrong. Everyone needs to grow up sometime and now is the time.
Stop doing everything for them. Help them to grow up. They made their bed, now let them lay in it.

It's not just the Pacers - it's pro sports and stars in general. Look what they get away with just because they have money! If I had missed a court day they wouldn't wait until Monday to issue that warrant... it would have been right then! Let's clean up the mess NBA! Anything involving the law should be an automatic suspension, right then! If found innocent welcome back- if not, you're gone... forever! I'm betting it would clean up immediately since they want those big pay checks - just gotta have consequences people!

I hate to say it, because he is my favorite player of all time, but the quotes in this article really illustrate why Larry has to go. His comments regarding this situation really are shocking from a behavioral perspective. He is an enabler, and he is creating the wrong kind of culture within the Pacer's organization. I wish he would retire, so we can remember him for his days as a player and a coach....

Like others who have expressed their fondness of you as a legendary player, as a player you were and always will be my idol. If this job is not one your heart is really in, for your good and the team and the fans, you should move on.
