I won't be taking my family to any more Pacer games.

They're just not the type of role models I wish my children to admire.

Who needs 5 season tickets?

He may have been the target of this one, but who in their right mins is out and about at 3 AM - and then expects to only interact with honest folks with high integrity. I always thought that was when the bad element of our city was out and about - you know - in the dark of the night.
Sounds like Tinsley is continuing the fine tradition of ao many of our Pacer prodigies.
We change the coaching when there is a problem - we satill don't get it right about the players.

As I said in the comments on the earlier version of this story, this could have been far worse had James Tinsley not exercised his Second Amendment rights and returned fire. And if Qatato and Jamaal had been armed, perhaps it would never have happened at all. Until law-abiding citizens begin to carry their weapons at all times and at all places, incidents like these will continue. My fellow citizens: Get a permit and carry your weapon as routinely as you do your wallet or your watch.

Now thats a surprise isn't it? A member of the Pacers hanging out with someone that had a warrant for dealing drugs. Oh my! Now if the shooters had left the scene and the group was no longer in danger when Tinsley's brother chased them and fired at them; wouldn't that be against the law since they were no longer in fear of their life. Say maybe Recklessness with a deadly weapon..No wonder the Pacers can't get a crowd over 10,000 this year. Very poor examples for the youngsters to look up to.....

I cannot belive you guys would come down on a guy for his first.....wait, I mean his second.....wait, I mean his third incident. This has to be a conspiracy. Lol, and people used to make fun of the Portland Trailblazers. In every walk of life someone has to take up the mantle of the fallen. I guess Portland cleand up their act and we are the mantle receipients. By the way dave I would still take those 5 season tickets. The new season is off to a great bang, figurtivly speaking, good luck Pacers.

If James Tinsley took off after these guys and fired shots during the chase, he was not acting in self-defense and should be charged with reckless endangerment. If he acted in this way and is not charged then Indianapolis is the wild west.

Let the Chearleaders play. Even the mascots.

They would be more interesting to watch than the current team!

It's time for Larry Bird to step down! Someone needs to take the buull by the balls and straighten these over-paid street thugs out.

Why did you buy season tickets anyway? This is just more of what the players have been doing for quite a while now. What about this situation suddenly makes you not want to take your kids to the games? I wrote off the pacers around the time of the Detroit incident. If and when they improve the image -- and maintain it -- I might watch them again. Good luck getting rid of those tickets.

Trash has to rise up on its own to truely escape the thug life. You can take trash out of the ghetto (by giving it a sports scholarship or drafting it into a pro sports league), but you can't take the ghetto out of the trash. Just because someone has money doesn't mean they earned it, deserve it, or know what to do with it. It's nice to know that if I walk around downtown after dark I need to be more worried about the Pacers mugging me than I do the homeless people.

The idea that Jamaal Tinsley was a "victim" in this incident is ridiculous. His track record speaks for itself, this isn't his first or even second incident - it's his third. He put himself in this situation and I don't believe for one moment that he was picked on because he has a nice car. That is ludicrous. He should not be allowed to play on any team, however if he continues to play for the Pacers, I am certain that it will detrimental to an already poor attendance.

Also as I said earlier. What did he expect? He was showing off, why did he need 3 cars on West 38th street at a club? Can't his friends drive their own cars? Do they just use him for material things? If two of the three cars chase the would be aggressors, are they any better? They aren't defending themselves once they chase people from the scene and they should be punished.

Wait, so it's OK if Joey Qatato is out at 3:00 AM but not Tinsley?

Get him out of here. Why didn't he call 911 in the first place? Instead he takes his problems to the Conrad and places even more people in harms way. Maybe it's time for Walsh and Bird to go to. Why do they continually hang on to jackass players like this?

The Pacers are still going down hill, they need to do something about these jerks on the team that like going out causing trouble.

OR, we could all leave our weapons at home and as a society we could make the decision to absolutely brutalize our criminals so people don't want to commit crimes anymore...

Not to turn this into a gun control debate, but how do you know James Tinsley wasn't the problem? How do you know he didn't shoot first?
