ONLY...I see very clearly that these governors are all united in NOT laying off any state employees (or just a token number) AND wanting more handouts. It seems that their game plan is all about gearing up for the next election when the only people that will vote for the incumbents are those whose jobs are directly tied to government since they realize who they owe their jobs to. And any opposition is very likely to be someone who is in favor of layoffs (hopefully). Let the chips fall where they may cause we taxpayers really do NOT have short memories about who is responsible for this mess, and what the incumbents did NOT do to resolve it. LETS CLEAN HOUSE IN A WHOLESALE WAY AMERICA; a whole new crowd of elected officials could NOT possibly be any worse than what we have now.

This stimulus plan sounds a lot like a sub-prime mortgage. Who knows what the hidden costs will be?
