Incredible trade for Clips getting rid of a huge contract and a bad attitude; I thought Randolph was untradeable.
The Clips lower their overall payroll a great deal while having an $8 mill. trade exemption to use on somebody else. Unbelievable deal!
The future just got alot brighter for the Clips who can now be a major player in next year's free agent chase.

Please wait...
Didn't the Clippers already stink with Quentin Richardson? I'm sure he's really p issed off tonight knowing he's going back to a really crappy team.

although Zbo is a 20/10 player, this trade make sense because it gives BG the playing time he needs to develop his game. It also creates the atmoshpere needed for the others (EJ, AT, DJ & MT) to mature in their game and gel together. Added to this is the opportunity to grab next year a veteran superstar plus whatever draft pick we have available next year. Now the only thing we need is a coach!

Zach has now been traded from two teams that had the first selection in the draft. Management obviously doesn't want him corrupting the incoming talent.

Good riddance to Randolph... If he was so grateful to be in L.A., why would he do something as stupid as throwing a punch during a game? Glad to have his salary off the books, and to free up more PT for Camby, Thornton and Griffin. Plus bringing back Q to give us some much-needed help from the 3-point line.

Even Though I don't like the Clips this is a good move. Randolph is a ball hog. Q-Rich can come of the bench and light the threes. Baron Davis will set him up just like Steve Nash

Given his past reputation, Randoph's comment regarding his impending trade was truly impressive; that is, if it genuinely came from him and not his agent.
The Clips currently have plenty of scoring in their arsenal, so it was a shrewd trade on their part. What the Clips do need, however, are more guys who are willing to get down-and-dirty in the trenches, guys with "character" and "grit" (a la Kurt Rambis, Bill Laimbeer, Shane Battier, etc.). Adding Richardson to the mix that includes Marcus Camby and Chris Kaman certainly fills that void.
Thank you, Zach, for you loyalty and service with the Clippers - even if it was only for a little less than a full season.

i agree to disagree, i understand it does free up for 2010, but to get rid of a 20/10 guy is kinda ummmm how to you say it...... stupid, we all talk about how ZBO is a "thug" and what not, and one mentioned he threw a punch, i mean c'mon it happens in the league all the time, just because of what you read and heard about the guy you just have to take it, not like he did us wrong while he was a Clipper..... but again it's my opinion and Q i think will be a welcome addition, not to say that it'll be great, but we'll have to wait and see.... but i do still have his throwback jersey from way back when!!! I guess its Lebron for 2010!!!

huh...I know the main point in this trade is to have a clear cap in 2010,,,,but do you really think those players like Wade, James, and Bosh would like to go to he clippers..??? And, do you really think Sterling would want to pay those guys....c'mon.....! I would trade Kaman first instead rather that trade 20 and 10 guy.

stupid. Why they wouldn't try to actually get a guard of use (Tracy McGrady anyone) is ridiculous to me. They could have easilly did something like Randolph and a role player or two for McGrady, or Jason Richardson, or any decent middle of the road 2 guard. Not Quentin Richardson.

The Clippers Kill Me... I need to stop being a fan. We y=trade the one player that did not get hurt last season, a 20-10 guy, for a back up SG/SF.. ouch... all this talk about teams needing centers, now we have three and only one PF... i understand about the money situation but Kaman makes a lot too.. get rid of him and have Camby/Randolph starting with Blake coming off the bench for the first season... and then with next season's lottery pick .... I'm with #15 ... Let's impeach the clip's from our city

When you think of a "guard of use", you think of T-Mac?!?! Personally, I think T-Mac is an over-rated and it seems to me like he's always hurt!(Although, a couple years ago I DID see that man single-handedly score about 13 points in the last, maybe, 20 seconds of a game, I think to come from behind and win...f'ing awsm!!) When was the last time he did NOT miss, say, at least 10 or 20 games in a season?! I think there are sooooooo many better players out there.

let me take over GM'ent. 1st I would fire Dunleave(now!) Keep Randolph, trade Kaman and Camby for a potential all-star rookie. Tell Byron to shoot less, or his miss shots would be penalized. And when I am about to get fired by Stearing, I tell his S to give up and give me the team.
