Possible trade Udonis Haslem for J J Redick, future 1st rd pick and another player, this should solve some of the Magic's problems. Dwight might be getting tired, he's a big guy he needs help

I can't wait to see how DH responds tonight. I'm glad I have DirecTV!

By the way, Riley will never make a trade that helps to improve the Magic. He can pick up a shooter and/or expiring contracts from many teams that aren't is his division.

Dwight shouldn't get pissed at Van Gundy for not getting more touches. He should be getting pissed at Jameer. Nelson is looking for his shot first instead of creating for our shooters. If Dwight's pissed, think how Raschard Lewis must feel. There are many times that Jameer doesn't even look at Lewis at all. Van Gundy and Otis need to sit Jameer down and have a straight talk with him. He should be thinking about getting 20 assists a game and not 20 points. I repeat, if Jason Kidd still wants out of NJ, bring him home, even if the billionaire owner goes over budget. We also need a PF. To wait for Battie to heal is ridiculous. Foyle has been a big stiff.
I support Van Gundy's strategy of calling Howard out publicly. It's good for the team. Now it's time to call out Jameer.

Probably the best example Howard could follow is Bill Russell who played several years ago. He was all about winning and playing 100% for his team. Check out Russell's stats. Oh and I think his team won their share of games. Thanks, Jim in Maine

I for one applaud Van Gundy and think he's setting the right tone heading into later part of season that everyone, regardless of who you are, must be accountable for their actions. I'm not worried about it disturbing the chemistry or making people take sides because it seems like a purely professional issue, both sides have asserted their is nothing personal involved. I also think it shows how far along the Magic have come. Had this been any year in recent prior history, regardless of how bad Dwight might have been doing or what comment he would have made they would have kept him on the floor just because they couldn't afford to lose a single game. It's nice to think that we can afford to drop a game or two to make a point, let's just not make a practice out of it. I bet Dwight has got the point and would not be surprised if he comes out and has MONSTER game tonight.

Also, I would love to have Udon over JJ anyday. I would wish Reddick the best but this is not the place for him and we could really use a guy like Haslem.

Go Magic!

D Howard is a young talented guy and if he wants to be an all star he should follow the recommendations from his coaches, SVG & P Ewing. Who is going to tell J Nelson the truth regarding his crazy game. Everytime his is on the court the team is a real mess. I don't know why Otis signed him. Everybody knows that Nelson is not a regular PG. He could be good as a three minutes back up. When JJ is going to have a chance. I think we are pretty bad with our draft pick selections lately...

I hope Dwight comes out tonight and doesnt shoot once.
Gets only 7 rebounds and has a sprained calf muscle too.
That will put that Punk VanGundy in his place!

As the head coach SVG did what he have to do regarding DH game. He must learn to live by his own words and try to be thinkful before he comments the game after a defeat. He should look at Greg Popovich and Avery Johnson who are masters of the voice of silence. DH must think of defense first but the thruth is that he's not getting any help in the rebounds department. SVG should not expect to have double doubles from him every night. Only hope for Magic fans is that OS is working in a good trade to improve defense and rebounding, or maybe I'm being too optimistic.

I've been saing this for at least 3 weeks, D.H. lost it and he wants to play only for the stats. He should look up at Lebron ,this guy is all about business. There is no smiles during the game!, there is no walkin in defense!, he gives every night (and his teammates, with all respect, are not a stars or $118.000.000 10points/game superstars!).So D.H. once again, RUN !!!! and listen to Ewing.Once he plays the best Magic wins.Thank you.Oh and Nuggets by 12.Cumby will outplay D.H.

I disagree with one of your comments. I expect DH to have a double double "EVERY" nite. Howard should easily avg 20 pts 15 reb every night. I really believe if DH really focused on defense, teams would definitely penetrate less to the basket. All it takes is a couple swats or DH presence in the paint and the other team will feel intimidated.

"You Go Coach" --Dwight needs to get more aggressive on rebounding and blocking shots. If he positions himself on offense, he is going to get the put-backs for scores. HE DOES NOT APPEAR TO ME TO BE SERIOUS MOST OF THE TIME ---Can he run down the floor ???? 20 rebounds with 10 points is better for the Magic tha 20 points with 10 rebounds!! 4 blocks a game minimum !

The Magic win when 3 players have a good night. Usually the good nights are only by Dwight.
Yell at him all you want Coach but he is the only consistant player you have.
I think you should call out the other overpaid **Stars** you have to get it together or sit them.

What are the Magic paying Patrick Ewing to do? Isn't he supposed to be the "Big Man's Coach?" If he is supposed to mentor Dwight, he obvioulsy isn't having much impact. P.E. was a true worker on defence. He played hard. Isn't that what he is supposed to help Dwight become? Where's the evidence?
