It will be interesting to see if Iverson can change his game once Carmelo is back. So far, he's doing the same thing he's always done, with the same results. My bet is that Carmelo and he will cause more friction than synergy.....has AI ever brought out the best in a teammate?
Tim, there is no doubt in my mind that AI and Melo will co-exist and be a dynamic 1-2 punch. How are teams going to even begin to think of stopping the Nuggets next year?(this year may be a bit early)
Even if they try and run a double zone to slow Melo or AI then they are going to leave JR Smith alone behind the arc to play HORSE. With the up-tempo running style offense Denver is going to run; AI is going to be a great fit (see NBA's 2nd fastest guard). There may be times that we struggle in some half-court sets because we dont have a true pointguard (see Andre Miller) but AI add's the element Denver needed to put themselves amongst the elite teams next year. With our starting 5 being the best in basketball next year and having a bench with guys like Earl Boykins 14ppg, Reggie Evans 17 boards per 48 minutes, Yukuba Diawara 1.8spg and 39%
from behind the arc and last but not least Eduardo Najera who is just a straight up hustler with tons of energy and effort Denver will be a legitimate title contender.
