the knicks are a sham . from the top down this team is the joke of the NBA this is why basketball sucks !!! thomas has made a joke of this team amd dolan lets him. bring in people that know how to mold a team . as the knocks go so goes the NBA . i doubt david stern will let this continue with out putting pressure on. let's face it the knicks are in the biggest market and if the lakers and knicks suck what do you have ?

"Will Thomas get there? Reports have surfaced that Garden chairman James Dolan is already losing patience with yet another poor start by his basketball team. Then again, according to a person familiar with Dolan's thinking, no one at the Garden is ever really familiar with Dolan's thinking."

Isiah is very familiar with Dolan's thinking. That is why he still has a job. When things are going badly (OK, more badly than others), Isiah always has an excuse (we're tired, we're injured, the other team just made shots, whatever). Then, after a big win (the earlier home win against Denver), he tempers expectations by saying, "We're still a very young team; in three or four years, with more experience, we'll be a good team." ALL of Isiah's comments to the media are directed at Dolan's ears. He tells him what he wants to hear to protect his job, spinning everything to make it seem as though he is in control without having any control over the record. Dolan is simply too naive and, even after four years of failure, is still in awe of Isiah, believing every word of his B.S.

It's too bad they can't fly a plane over the Garden like they did over the Meadowlands in the mid 1970's to get the message across about years of lousy Knicks basketball. Then maybe Stern would step in and force them to do something. Isiah likes to point out that with a few baskets here and there, the Knicks could have been 6-3 at this point. He neglects to mention that with only a few baskets going the other way, they would be 0-9.
