LA Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy was quoted today regarding two current players:
Chris Kamen : Kaman will be out longer than the team had first expected, possibly a few more weeks in addition to the two weeks he's already missed.
Ricky Davis: Davis' left knee tendonitis, which has kept him out since November 22, was more serious than the team previously understood and will take longer than anticipated to heal.
Recent Clipper now New York Knicks guard Cuttino Mobley retired from the NBA on Thursday because of heart disease that he said has gotten worse. Mobley said doctors told him he faced significant risks if he kept playing.
The Clippers had found no worsening of his ongoing heart condition in the annual preseason medical exam.
Long time Clipper Doctor Tony Daly recently died.
It would seem that in the interest of player health the ongoing Clipper problem for the last three years at least means they should hire a new professional medical staff.

I would love to have Kaman back from this injury but honestly the Clips are developing some good team unity and flow without him. They are learning how to win and how to play a strong 48 minutes or add 2 ots in Portland. It would be foolhardy to think that Kaman is a problem for the Clips but they will just be that much stronger with him when he returns after recovering from his injury.
As far as Eric Gordon goes, this kid is fantastic. I don't see the normal rookie mistakes or adjustment needed to play at the speed of the NBA. He did it from his first game. He is terrific on defense but he is very efficient shooting. He will shoot 5 for 7 and you just wonder why he isn't shooting more. He has a pretty shot and is quick going to the basket, a terrific draft pick!
