The Orlando Sentinel rips Marcin Gortat using few words from a polish interview - haf of answer to one questoin, then instead of saying "we're sorry, we still have problem with foregin languages", says "Gortat takes it back"

I'm kinda confused with this article, its simply not fair.

Things like this are kind of disruptive especially at this juncture of the games and should be censored. This is simply irresponsible journalism on the part of the writers. If the Magic lose this series, I'll blame Whitley or Bianchi for even bringing this up.

I had been a big Gortat fan. Now, not so much. He should keep his mouth shut until he's with another team, or has another coach.

What's wrong with you guys at the Sentinel? STOP WRITING STORIES THAT DISRUPT TEAM CHEMISTRY! Can't you wait a couple of weeks to write about Hedo, Marcin, etc!

Great story! Keep up the great work about how bad a coach VanGundy is and how Gortat wants to start for some other team so he doesnt have to watch and listen to VanGundy panicking and going off the deep end during a close game!

I love disruptive articles!

Magic C Dwight Howard wasn't thrilled to see a " rally racket" — a noise-making paddle handed out by the club in a promotional-giveaway for Game 1 — come flying from the stands. "Just the way the fans reacted, throwing the paddles on the floor. Stuff like that. There's no need for that," he said.

What a softie crybaby!!! "Ohh the evil fans are mad at me buu buuu". Come and play football in England, Italy or south america and see what the fans can yell at you... come on Dwight get real, be a man.

stan is a good man to take this directly to gortat and talk this out.

gortat is good for the team by playing hard every minute he is on the floor, and that is all a coach can ask of a player.

It's obvious the players are tired of SVG, starting with Dwight. After an early playoff exit and bad start next season look for SVG to be fired for sure. This is a players league.

What Marcin said was exactly correct. Vangundy is always looking like his best friend died during every game. It got old for me last year and I know the players are sick of seeing him complain even when they have a 30 pt lead. It's rediculous..
Grow up Van Gundy or your days are numbered. Everyone is sick of your act.

When you write about a Youtube clip, and in the process post a link labeled Youtube, your readers expect that link to go to the clip itself, not an Orlando Sentinel page that tells us about...Youtube. Seriously, get a clue.

Van Grumpy is always making faces of dissapointment at players like if he used to be "The perfect" NBA player... But he doesn't even know how to tie his own shoes !!!!

Also, just to add, that Youtube clip isn't even funny. It's less newsworthy than my dog eating dirt and getting sick.

Another day, another Sentinel sports article with a misleading, inaccurate headline. Please! Isn't there enough genuine crap to write about without stirring the pot and making mountains out of molehills?

I also agree that the Sentinel/Tribune/Whoever needs to get it together with their method of linking.

And Dwight, a point of clarification about "the fans". Yes, we were all mad as youknowwhat that you guys gave away the game. But only a few in the crowd (NOT fans) acted like idiots.

Exactly!

The Sentinel likes getting their name out there in the national media. They like to cause a stir so people would pay attention to this little ole me paper.

ESPN and PTI talked about this yesterday too... I wonder why? Maybe cuz the Sentinel posted the article? Even Marcin said that interview was 3 months ago. So here we go again causing more drama and making national news DURING THE D A M N PLAYOFFS.

The editor of this paper needs to be fired for letting this kind of crap out. It shouldn't be printed or reported on until after the playoffs are over. Nor that article about Turk wanting to opt out of his contract.

So its OK for SVG to rip every member of the Orlando Magic, including its cornerstone player in D.Howard, but when a reserve basically tells the TRUTH, he loses your respect?

Van Gundy better concentrate on beating the Sixers and getting to the next round, because if the Magic do not advance to the conference finals, his day will be numbered in Orlando. It's time this overgrown crybaby act more like a professional coach, and less like an over-zealous jerk.

i have never posted before but go and read all the magic articles from the orlando sentinel and i find it very sad that this paper with all the things going on can only find the negative parts of this team especially with the type of season and team we have! i just dont understand it who does that i have not read about another hometown news talking crap about their team especially one that is one of the top teams in the east for that fact top in the world. o btw if you are going to mention a youtube video at least let it be a funny one. i wonder if you guys are hiring because you need to start firing! Real Talk!

First time posting but fealt the need. A few thoughts...

One, This was not good timing on the media's part, as noted several times before me. Seriously, are you guys trying to drive more quality NBA players & Coaches out of town.

Two, Van Gundy is the best thing that ever happened to this team from a coaching perspective. All of you softies that are crying about his so-called theatrics need to understand that this guy is really that freakin passionate about winning every time out. Would you really rather have a coach that just sat quietly and didn't try to bring some intensity to our team?

NBA players make a ton of money to do what they do and it's understandable that they would sometimes have that ho-hum attitude about their jobs. It should not only be acceptable for Stan to light them up when they don't do their jobs, it should be expected.

As for the Marcin comments, I love the way Stan handled this in saying the he too has screwed up in front of the press, but he knows what Gortat stands for and likes coaching the guy.

Finally, how you knuckle-heads at the Sentinal write something about our team that motivates them to stick together, support their coach and and win a championship. You obviously have the time since you are digging up articles from the past to write about.

By the way, Stan is the older Van Gundy brother, by 2.5 years.
