Not sure if anyone saw this on ESPN but when Avery Johnson was asked which team will be the upset in the 1st round, he said the Magic. He's out of his mind. Magic swept the Sixers this season. I highly doubt Sixers can pull it off in the playoffs regardless if Sixers have more playoff expereinced players or not.

Can we please sit JJ on the bench for the playoffs. It is just painful to watch him play. Even though his numbers last night looked reasonable though mediocre.
And it's not just me saying that.
ESPN's John Hollinger ranks players by PER - The Player Efficiency Rating (PER) is a rating of a player's per-minute productivity.
JJ ranks LAST, yes LAST, among all Orlando Magic player and is the only one with a single digit PER at 9.96.
You can find those ratings here:
http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/teams/hollinge...
The only reasons I can conclude any one wants him to play is because Otis Smith is forcing them (SVG) to justify his pick or they are racially biased.
Agreed, I am not a big fan of JJ. Takes wild shots, and misses open jumpers. He was great in college but it seems the NBA is too quick for him to plant his feet correctly and get a shot. He will grow though.

I can't see the Magic even coming to be close to 7 games in this series. 5 games at best, 76's don't have what it takes to make an upset. I do want it to go 5 games though because I have tickets for that 3rd home game.......
However, I can see a Boston/Chicago upset. Chicago is a great team now, and Boston will more than likely be w/o KG. I am not calling an upset, but I could see one happening. With CLE/DET, it depends on what Detroit team shows up if they can bring to 7. Can't see an upset though.

Anyway's go Magic!! I gotta good feeling for a champ this year, they have proved they can beat these teams.

Garnett being out is HUGE. We can take Boston in the 2nd round without Garnett.

That would put us in the ECF against Cleveland who we match-up GREAT against!

Magic in 7 against the Lakers!!!!

Just seems too small and too slow in a reactive way. Wish him well ... elsewhere.

OK time for analysis:
Cleveland versus Detroit. If AI had accepted the role as 6th man Detroit would have been the most dangerous team in the playoffs. Without him, time for Detroit to go down. Cleveland 4-1.
Boston vs. Chicago. Dang this one is tough. Chicago since the trade has been real good. They are a surprise. Boston maybe 100% by this weekend. If not this could go 7 games. If Boston is healthy they win in 5.
Miami over Atlanta in 6. I like Miami the last several weeks. They are starting to jell as a team.
Orlando vs Philly. This is the best matchup for us of the 8 teams. We could sweep them but I say 4-1 Magic.
Anything less then a sweep would worry me going forward!
We need to go for a Kill and intimidate the next opponent!

East first round picks:

D Wade is going to be a whole new beast come playoff time, so that is why I have the Heat beating Atlanta in a tough and exciting series. The Bulls have been playing good lately and have a very young and energetic team, while as good as Boston is, they are getting older. I think if Chicago can keep a fast tempo, they can be the upset team in the first round (wishful thinking, but you never know). Cavs in 6 because Detroit, though not the same team they have been, still are dangerous. Finally Orlando in 5, mostly because we've had Philadelphia's number for a while and I'm sure they will win at least one game at home.
I love the "chicago in 6" part....I would also love Detroit in 6or7...lol.
I don't want the cavs and that would send them back to earth...!!

Besides, then we get to knock of Detroit!
Yes....I still want them!

So we can rest. Let's hope Chicago stretches Boston to 7.
