Gortat is a strong young center who can be a terrific backup for many years. Turk has to go. He wants/needs too much money vis a vis the cap. Any objective person can see that his skills are diminishing. Yes he sometimes hits BIG shots, but generally he doesn't get going until the 4th quarter and his lack of speed and questionable ball handling are liabilities. We have a young Pietrus and Lee who need a lot more development and playing time. Pietrus can take Turk's spot in the lineup. Let's be real - the MAGIC are not likely to pay and keep both Gortat and Turk

next year play howard 33/30 minutes a game and the hammer 15/18 and we get the best of worlds.

howard would stay fresh and the hammer would get the time he needs

keep tony for the 4-5 back-up

pay the hammer, dam it! it is hammer time

Gortat's been paying big role in Orlando's franchise all year long.I think he's able to put some decent numbers while playing more minutes. His only problem is that Howard is undisputed starter so for Gortat's own benefit he should find better place to play, but he's so valuable pice in Orlando's puzzle that it will be tough to let him go.

guys teams will come after and offer draft picks for or something is matt gortat first...his value sky rocketed!
jj reddick showed much improvement, shooters are always a need! and we now will have three solid point gaurds when jameer nelson returns...so alston, nelson, johnson all have value....these are the only guys magic will let possibly leave if the price is right!!! but if magic win this championship..they might wanna let this group stay together and make another run at it next yea!! never know..we gotta wait and see how it all plays out...but speculation about turk is just rumors...lol

Gortat is becoming a really good player. He deserves more playing time.Marcin will not get more minutes in Orlando, Howard is a beast, so he has to sign with other team.Looking at the progress he's making, I'm sure that he is going to be a starter soon. Who knew there were good basketball players in Poland?
