Yes we all know how great of a season it was, but how come there wasn't a mention about the ESPN article inside the magazine? I mean the Sentinel did post the front page of it. I guess we don't want to bring up the talks of Mr. Nice Guy Dwight Howard and his lack of mental toughness again lol.....

Hey, I really appreciate how the Magic decide to tank the rest of the games so they can "coast" into the playoffs. Fans pay money to see these guys play, not sit on their arses. I guess the moral is, once NBA teams have a playoff spot locked down, there's no further reason to bother to pay to see a game, because all you'll get is scrub.

And don't even start with that lame BS, "But the players need their rest!" All season long, Van Gundy ridicled that excuse; now he's actually using it himself. Pretty original, Stan.

The Magic are a great team, and are very much in Championship contention. ESPN, and TNT can think whatever they want but the Magic are going to be a huge surprise for people like Jon Barry and others who keep beating down any idea the Magic can win it all. This last little funk sucks but let's wait till the playoffs to see if it was for the best or not. I think we are going to win tonight, mostly because I think the players really want this hole crap about the Magic not being strong enough when it comes to the playoffs to stop. People seem to think that every other team will give it so much more effort but the Magic will just skip around and shoot 3's all day. Shut-up, and keep dreaming!! GO MAGIC!!

You're an idiot. Don't watch the game then. Would you rather the Magic be tired and injured in the playoffs? The whole point of playing is to try and win a title. The Magic actually have something to play for this year. Rested and fresh players give Orlando the best chance to play well. SVG doesn't care what you think about his strategy, he's the coach. We true Magic fans want to see our team do well in the playoffs, not trounce the freakin Bobcats for the 50th time this year. Learn something you dolt!

It is common practice when you have a spot sealed to rest your starters. Sure they are going to loose some games but you do not want to risk your stars. I agree the Celtics and the Cavs are winning their last games and the Magic are not. I also see some postioning schemes going on as well. The Magic would rather have the # 3 seed instead of the #2 due to who they play. They had problems with Detroit. I am not saying the Magic are tanking games on purpose but the coach is not a idiot either.

With that being said, I hope SVG only plays the starters for about 20 minutes. Let the backups play again and get them some more confidence heading to the playoffs.

Thank God it's Wednesday! The last game at finally.
The sad part now is that it will take 2 months to finally decide the Lakers are the best team in the NBA. Whicgh was setup last year by the NBA powers that be.

But then again just think how many millions these teams will make for their owners as the longer foolish fans showup and pay these outrageous prices to watch a game the doesn't resemble real basketball.
The ref's alone will make more money in the playoffs than they do for the entire season.... plus they will get the really BIG money from Las Vegas on the side.

Oh well wathing the NBA goons beats watching womens golf I suppose.

They should let the Starters play complete 1st quarter and the 3rd. Thats it!!

Mustafa Jones, I'm not going to go as far as say "your an Idiot!" but it was obvious that the team needed a physical as well as mental break. As a HARDCORE Magic fan I get a kick out of getting to see some of the seldom used players get minutes or the second unit get a chance to step up. The Magic are on a different level now. This playoff run isn't about winning a few games in a series. It's about contending for the title. SVG is definitely making the right move.

On another note, if I hear Tony Kornheiser call SVG a whiner one more time I'm booking a flight to D.C. to kick his uninformed, non-reporting ass!!!

LOL I'm glad that someone else feels the same way as I do. I was watching PTI yesterday when he said that stuff. Although I do agree with his comments on Dwight, I don't with respects to SVG. SVG has gotten the best out of this team since he arrived, more so than Brian Hill would've/could've.

That article is right on the money.
What they are talking about is exactly what makes or breaks this MAGIC's character on how far they can go.
Throughout the season, we know we can pretty much beat anybody's and their momma's....
Question is the Attitude and Maturity come playoff time.
We'll see.
