I loved watching Philly leave Lee wide open. 18 shots, he has to get better at knocking them down though. 4th quarter was the Hedo and Lee show. Hedo hit some great shots in the 4th. Maybe Mr. clutch will bring it around towards end of the season. I am impressed with Rafer, he is solid and quick. JJ getting thrown out, about time someone got upset out there. Howard really got two very tacky fouls called on him. One on the offensive end when he grabbed a rebound and was going to stuff it and the second on a defensive rebound earlier. Neither one was worthy of a call, both times the Philly guy stumbled over his own feet. I hope other coaches dont see this as a cheap way of getting Howard in foul trouble.
As much as I love CLEE, I really was NOT happy him jacking up so many jump shots. I know he made big shots at the end but that is not a very Smart move from either him or his coach.
I know we love shooting but he should doing something else when those are not falling.
Those are waaaaaaaay too many shots for him.
Just not smart I think.

Now that was awesome....JJ getting angry is what we needed. Someone actually standing up and showing some retaliation. Of all ppl, JJ.
Awesome bro....Thats the kinda mood we need.
Next time, just dont get thrown out....or make sure you land a punch first...lol

Yesterday I was embarrassed to be a Magic fan after the loss again to the Pistons and today I'm embarrassed to be a Magic fan because I gave up on my team.
I'm going Tuesday and I will fully support this team, win or lose
You were embarrassed against Detroit, I was that and very ashamed.
Like I said before.....I will support it, win or lose but to gain some attention again and the fans to have full confidence, its going to take a while now.
Even longer if we play like we did in Philly.
The first half of the season, this would be a 20pt win.
That identity is hard NOT to notice.
But I guess, some rest might help this team Gel.
will see.

Now, the question is, can Orlando go 17-6 the rest of the way to win 60 games?
Couple of weeks ago, I would say most definitely but now....ummm...yeah....that's my answer to that.
I'd say 13-10 if we are lucky.
I know this team is much better than that but the urgency level is way low.
They need to go on a quick winning streak to gain some fan confidence.
This would be a great time for that and we can end it unfortunately against boston/detroit.

So which do you guys want more? a win against the pistons... or a win against the celtics?
I'll take the Boston win if we face Detroit again in the playoffs.
Losing to Detroit again is just plain boring. I just want to see how we do against them in the playoffs.....I think we know that outcome but still.
Winning against Boston gives us better confidence I think going forward.

They seem to be on a mission and will be very dangerous in the playoffs.
I hope that we can learn from the Pistons and also go on a higher gear.
I'm very happy about that Boston loss.
After Billups gone...I hate Boston even more now....I see Detroit in the ECF again and maybe even in the Finals.
Detroit is very Physical and talented team.
We are just talented and thats about it.

<quoted text>Turdstorm you WILL be correct regarding KG coming back against the Magic.
He will have a "sudden recovery" and be back in action against Orlando. Count on it. You heard it here first folks.
In all honesty, I dont want MAGIC to get any breaks.
I dont think we deserve a break.
We are a talented team that is not putting all the effort and are not consistent.
The real MAGIC need to stand up.
With the talent we have, we can beat the best of them and we need to do that to get to the next level.
If we don't do it now we'll get wasted in the playoffs so I might as well lose now and do damage later or NOT!
Same difference.

Like I have said since the All Star break..the Magic will basically be a .500 team for the rest of the season.
They will win one, lose one...win two..lose two,,etc. No more long winning streaks. And they are still good enough to avoid long losing streaks.
They will be a team that heads into the playoffs with a lot of question marks. You won't know which team will show up.
They won't head into the playoffs with a head of steam. And they won't head into the playoffs struggling.
Hopefully they can find a big "ON SWITCH" when the playoffs start. Otherwise they will be done early.
You have been correct on that JIM, we are a .500 team right now.
After that DHOW 45pt performance, I thought that was an ON SWITCH but I was wrong.

the hawks have no center...you cant win without a halfway decent center...the are stockpiled at forward, they have one really old point guard and no center

I think ATL is just fine....they'll be scary in a year or two.
They just need some seasoning. They are very talented but lack veteran leadership and they are getting that as they go through.
If they stay with the same core...watch out!

Wow, a white American. Too bad at your white school they didn't teach you to capitalize the "A" in American.
JJ is played the same here as he would on any team. He is a catch and shoot guy (with a pump fake that only worked in college). He cannot create his own shot at all. His defense is much improved and I root for him to succeed, but he's really not that good! I know you think he could be a "Rip Hamilton" type of player, but he's so slow he can't even get open when screens are being set for him.
The fact that you say neither of our so called forwards can't play, shoot Hedo's having an average year, and he still averaging 17 pts, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Any team in the league would take that, and not only that JJ (even if he played 48 minutes a game can't even average that)! Then Rashard is leading the league in 3 point shots made and made the All-Star team. His only thing is he's playing out of position and doing a pretty damn good job at it!
JJ is NOT the best shooter on the team, Rashard is. JJ's been average at best and it has nothing to do with the way he is being played, it's his talent level. Face it, he's a third string player on a good team, and maybe second string on a bad team. And that's the fact Jack!
SVG has the Magic playing .700 ball, how can you say the he can't coach? Or is it that he just has a good team, so no matter who's coaching them, it wouldn't matter. Either way you answer it goes against all the BS you post anyways.
Stick to you college basketball because it's so obvious you don't know jack about the NBA. Actually I'm not sure you know anything about college ball either, except you got a nut for Duke.
Oh yeah, Dwight doesn't play defense either, he's only going to probably win Defensive Player of the Year. See, you don't know JACK!
Later :-)

Yeah that's the problem O-Magic. I think they are going to have a few of them leave. Bibby is a FA this year so is Josh and Joe is up for FA in a few. I really like the Hawks and how they play, but as I mentioned the coach needs to get more out of them somehow.

And Kenny you are right they do lack a center, but they have 5 very very good players starting. They should be lighting it up, but for some reason they can't find a way to get it done. Last night was a very good example. They were up by as many as what 5-6 with under a minute to go and let the Cav's come back and win by a free throw? LOL WTF... That's not going to get it done in the playoffs again.

It is not his fault. When you double up on Howard someone is left open and Philly decided they would leave him open. It worked for 3 quarters and then WHAM, he began hitting his shots. I remember one time they did not even bother guarding him and he had like 5 seconds to aim and shoot a 3. He missed it and was wide open the rest of the game. With the Magic its choose your poison. You will see this in the playoffs also. I hope C Lee comes through for us.

""Orlando is a possibility given its paucity of frontcourt reserves and Gooden's previous history there, but I'm not sure how seriously people take the Magic's chances of contending since Jameer Nelson went out. At any rate, the Magic have used their midlevel and biannual exceptions this summer so they can offer him only the veteran's minimum.""
