Full story: Orlando Sentinel

Most of J.J. Redick 's NBA career has been a roller-coaster. He begged for playing time during his first two years in the league before finally getting into the rotation at the beginning of this season, only to ...

Thanks Kyle. JJ needs your support. He's a lot better player than has been shown due to VanGundys coaching limitations.

SVG needs to get his head out and JJ in the flow more. Give him a chance and he'll produce.

Yes poor JJ. He's always played like such a superstar when given the chance (just look at earlier this season). Its too bad we have such a crappy coach (who has taken every team he has coached to the playoffs, including one to within a game of the NBA finals, and has a career .619 winning percentage) who cant see what a special player JJ is.

You Tarhell fans just make me want to barf. Well at least we know one thing UNC is not going to win the NCAA's because Hans is such a wimp compared to Redick.

Well of course i'm going to agree with Mack here. JJ is a superstar and VanGundy is a loser. He (SVG) has a good percentage because Pat Riley got Shaq for him and because the Magic are a #13 rated team that had one good year yet they are far from poised to be an elite team in the NBA.
I suspect that JJ will be around longer than a coach that has been fired from DivII basketball teams and was lucky too be a front office pencil pusher NBA employee. Stan & Jeff are about the most outstanding brother team to ever be NBA losers.
But what really matters here is JJ went 2 & 2 in 4 years against the TarHoles and became the ACC all time scorer. That's good right?

Actually big guy, I am a duke graduate and LOVED watching JJ tear up ACC defenses and destroy the Tar Heels, but that doesnt mean he is a good NBA player. He isnt athletic enough to be more than an NBA role player, and college success doesn't always translate to the NBA (see Adam Morrison, Raymond Felton, Shelden Williams etc.). As for JJ's mom, not sure how Riley getting Shaq for him had anything to do with his coaching success. Are you saying he was only a good coach because he had good players? Well, hate to break it to you, but having star players is probably the most important thing for a coach to have in order to be labeled a "good coach". I'd assume you would call Phil Jackson a good coach, but what has he ever won without having the best two players in the NBA on his team? Van Gundy is a good coach in Orlando just as he was in Miami, the Magic have the 3rd best record in the east behind the Celtics and the Cavs, who, by the way, have some pretty good players of their own. Or maybe we should bring Doc back from the Celtics, he did such a great job while he was here, much better than Van Gundy. I mean, what more would you want from this team?

Anyone can say they are a Duke grad, but you sound like a UNC grad and a Redick hater at that.
