Time will tell, but there have been huge conspiracy theories all over ESPN and our forums about this very same matter. David Stern needs to be fired or Obama needs to look into it himself!!
Sorry guys but I am not a conspiracy guy. Too many NBA teams that werent the popular choice have made it to the finals. Simply doesnt hold up, Detroit beating LA is probably the most recent and Miami and Dallas in the Finals wasnt exactly a barnburner. LA and Boston made the finals last year simply because they were clearly the best two teams. I mean Cleveland snuck through back when they drew maybe a 1 on the scale of being the team to watch. So historically this simpley doesn meet the criteria of a proven or even sustainable conspiracy. Healthy Boston, Cleveland, and LA are still the best two teams. What makes the Magic vialble is they can beat all three of them in the regular season. Now we must prove we can play playoff basketball. Our injuries are mounting and its going to make it extremely difficult for us to sustain our drive to the finals. To me losing Lee is very critical especially on the defensive front.

Hey Sentinel readers, once again I showed my incredible sports knowledge by writing a story trashing Rashard Lewis during the middle of the playoffs and stating he does not perform like a star player. Lewis didn't do much to prove me wrong these past two games. Also the way I did not point out that he has been playing out of position for two years was top of the line journalism. Thanks for continuing to read the Sentinel even though I am a horrible sports writer.

Sincerely,

No its not. The NBA players know that if you get within 2 feet of Rondo to try to steal you will get a whistle.
Stern runs the NBA like Vince runs the WWE.
He wants a Lakers Celts final, and he will make sure the refs get it for him.
Its all about ratings for Stern.
Do you really think he will let Orlando and Denver make it to the finals?
I wish I had the control over my sport that Stern has over his.

Well I hope you people can now Finally realize just how RIGHT I have always been when posting on here these last few years.

I know some of you get all(panties in a bunch) when I explain the truth to you but get over it please. I only do it for your own good and for the sake of the game. It's difficult being a Dukie in a room full of dropout TarHells. Well that may be to harsh.... there are a few here that actually can spell Basketball!

If...IF, the Celts win I advise you to watch for the miraculous recovery and return of one Powe fellow and the one and only KG (K.Garnett.)

I see it now, the Celts are down 1 zip to the Magic and late in the 3rd quarter off the bench comes the one... the only ....KG! The Celts are elated and they take the next 4 games leaving the poor Magic to go home tail between their legs as should be the case.

This Philly series showed exactly what the Magic are made of. They finally won a game with out 2 of the best players. Just goes to show you how bad they had been playing with a full strength team against a team that shouldnt have even been in the playoffs!

But enough of this expert trying to school unknowing fans. Magic go down no matter who they play in the next round. It's ordained!(Psssst, Mr. Stern told me so)

I dont think we have to lose both. We can keepone or the other. One thing I like about Otis is he is willing to roll the dice on the right player. Gortat is the right player but we would have to change our offensive philosophy ot keep him. Twin towers is what we would commit to. Dont know if he would do that but it would be interesting. Lets say the Magic get blown out the 2nd round, maybe we may think a change is needed. If the Magic go higher I think we stay with the offensive philosophy we are using. Just some thoughts.
I don't think twin towers will work in Magic, in the original twin towers (Sampson&Hakeem or Robinson&Duncan), there is combination of 1 finesse guy and power guy.. In our case there is no finesse guy who can make 15-18 feet shots. When played together, Gortat&Howard offense will struggle as they will clog each others space, note that both are not that good passers, and in defense Howard has to play PF, and he will have to play further away from basket and his boards&blocks will decrease. Consider playing against teams as Dallas, Denver.. Gortat has no quickness to match players like Nowitzki, K.Mart etc.. than Howard will have to chase these guys and end up in foul trouble..
To sum up, twin towers may sound good in theory but it is in fact a bad bad idea..

Are the Magic finally become a playoff tough team? We have Howard throwing Bo's at people and Hedo getting up in people's grill in this series.

I don't like seeing players get tossed for a game but I do love seeing this version of the Magic showing some spunk.

Darn...now I will have to skip watching the rest of the playoffs. If the fix is in then what's the point?

I really enjoyed last night's game because I finally got to see JJ hit those threes like he should have been doing the last three years in the NBA. I liked his game, and I hope he get's more playing time.

Please don't hate me because I went to community college. It was all I could afford.

apo, Gortat can shoot a 12 to 15 footer. He hit a few of those last night and Gortat hit a 3 pointer in the blowout game against the Cavs a month ago and it wasnt a desperation throw it up at the rim 3. He had a nice stroke and hit nothing but net. Plus the teams you are worried about play in the western conference so we would only face them twice a year unless we met in the finals.

I have to ask, did I see Stan head to the locker room without shaking hands with the opposing coaches or players? I love ya Stan, but it doesn't have to get personal. You beat the crap out of them, so be the bigger man!

You were wrong last time, the time before that, the time before that. You are like Jim, you think if you keep predicting the Magic will lose one of these days it actually might happen. Even if it does being right once every 1000 times doesnt make you an expert, it makes you a miserable failure. JJ only plays well when the rest of the team does well but when the rest of the team is having a bad game he lays goose eggs. One game does not make a career and frankly he should have been doing this 2 years ago but he hasnt and doesnt. The problem is he is not the answer either as a starter or as a sub. Too many 1-7 1-5 2-8 on his resume. Even the water boy can have a good game once in a while. I wish JJ would become a good consitant player but until he does it will be back to the end of the bench as soon as someone gets healthy again.

Besides, anyone that wants to see JJ shoot and play more cant be ALL bad.... Like Dr. James Naismith...now thats an all bad dude there, lol.

no you usually post as a JJ loving freak with no basketball knowledge...

However, I will give some credit where credit is due...

As far as the miraculous recovery of Powe and KG... I think it will happen.. I give you credit for that... Davis and Perkins get into too much foul trouble and the Celtics do not have much else on the bench for big guys. Moore has been horrible for them and Scal just shoots 3s. Plus KG returning would just put the icing on the cake for Stern. Davis also cannot keep up with Lewis as far as speed. Hopefully Lewis can exploit that if the Celtics win game 7.

Now I hope that JJ turns into a Joneal in guard form... sucked first 3 years or so and then came on... However I am willing to accept a fine role player that can shoot the 3. Either way... no more goose eggs!!!

Folks the Magic are gonn aget a steady dose of Kendrick Perkins and Big Baby Davis in round 2 of the playoffs.
These big dudes will hound Dwight and basically render him useless.
Once again with Howard back the game will grind down to a halt and the turnovers they will be a plenty.
Boston will take advantage of these turnovers and get out on the break.
Also look for Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Rajon Rondo to dominate in this series...especially Allen.
The Celtics rather easily take the first 2 games up in Boston.
Then predictably the Magic will take game 3 back in Orlando out of desperation.
The Celtics then recover and take game 4 in Orlando and finish the series off in game 5 back in Boston.
So it will be the exact same scenario as last year when the Magic were ousted by the Pistons in round 2.
It will be..LOSE, LOSE, WIN, LOSE, LOSE...same as it was last year...which I so succintly predicted by the way.
You have been wrong so often over the last 2 months that nobody even takes your posts seriously any more. You should stop predicting so often since you are always wrong.

The only thing you have said recently that has been correct was this:
