Magic stay second in East with win over Bucks

Full story: Orlando Sentinel

These are the games that are largely forgettable --- as long as you win them. A loss, however, to a mediocre opponent can haunt when the playoff brackets are announced.

I know there are some people worrying about the Chicago game and Detroit game today. Just focus on the Magic and don't worry about where Detroit ends up. The Magic will win their first round series even if it is Detroit. It doesn't matter.

My only concern about facing the Pistons would be that it would be a grueling series. It would be very physical and take a lot out of the Magic. I wouldn't want that to carry into the 2nd round against Boston. Although eliminating the Pistons in the playoffs would be a pretty big lift. Playing the Pistons would help us get ready for the Celtics.

Detroit reclaimed 7th seed today and Boston is currently losing at home to the Thunder.

No matter what happened today, I still want the Magic to get the 2nd seed, even if it means playing the Pistons. It will be a great confidence booster for them if they win that series and they'll have homecourt for the 2nd round and I like the Magic's chances in that series too since Boston struggled on the road for the majority of last year's playoffs. If the Magic make it to the ECF and play the Cavaliers, that will be another good series too since the Magic match up well with the Cavs. Anyway, if the Magic can get past Detroit and Boston in the post-season I like their chances of winning it all.

I called the Pistons win today. I also called the Bulls loss today as well.

Folks like I have said all along...it will be a first round exit to the Pistons, or a second round exit to the Celtics.

The Magic WILL finish at number 3. The Pistons WILL finish at number 6. The Celtics will finish at number 2.

mo williams was an all star, Ilgauskus is a top 3 Eastern Conference center, and the cavs have 5 players that shoot AT LEAST 39+% from 3pt range...delonte west is a better SG than lee and peitrus, mo williams is better than Rafer alston, Lebron is better than Rashard Lewis and/or Hedo, and andy verejao will be THE BEST PF on the floor that night...the only trouble will be dwight howard...how many times do i have to tell you magic fans...THE CAVS ARE A NEW TEAM WITH MO WILLIAMS...and they arent just the Cleveland Lebrons anymore.

Stop the presses! Jim called this win! Everyone stop and tell him he was right. He predicted a win in which the #2 seed in the Eastern Conference beat the #9 team. Unbelievable, he must be some type of prophet.
Jim, please get some new material. This is a forum that allows basketball fans to discuss the team(s), half of your post are about how right you believe yourself to be.
Please for the continued enjoyment of all of the posters keep it focused on the Magic or their opponents.
I just skip over his posts because it's the same nonsense after every game. He types whatever he thinks people will react to because want's attention.
