Lakers survive a close call

The Lakers won because they refused to yield an inch. They won because they realized if they gave an inch, the San Antonio Spurs would take a foot, then two, then three and so on until they had won the game.

There is a small but important issue you left out in your article. Fisher's shot was not an airball as the flight of the ball changed as it grazed the rim. The ball should have been out of bounds to the Lakers with a full 24 seconds on the clock, not two.

That was the silliest move that Kobe made with 30 secs remaining and with them leading by 4 points - not running down the clock! What was running on your mind my dear friend Kobe? He's fortunate, my prayers save the game and his face!

I hope my Spurs can find someway and pull off a miracle, and win the next 3 games,but if not it's time to get some help for Tony. We need a player that can come of the bench and gets us 10 to 12 points consistanly, it's time to build youth around the big Three. Tim is good for at least 5 more years, if we can get a player like Tayshaun prince; Shaun Marion, and Charlie Bell to help out Tony at the point, he's a great defender, and can definetely score. I see at least three more rings in the next 5 years.

spurs need some young legs, that referee (the bald head one can't remember his name) need to have his eyes checked. I know many don't like the spurs but class is class look at their record.

What the NBA should do:

Re-play the last 2 seconds of Game 4, Give Brent Barry 2 free throws, if he makes them, send the game to OT and then let the players decide the winner of Game 4.

In my Book the Lakers are 2-1.

At times it appeared the officials did everything to help the Spurs. The game should have been
over from the play before when they made a no call on Fishers shot.

What the NBA should do:
Replay the last 10 seconds, which shows that Fishers shot hit the rim, resetting the the game clock with five seconds. San Antonio whould of then had to foul Kobie, who would of made the free throws, thus giving the Lakers a four point lead. Instead of 2 seconds left, there would of only been one second left in the game. Can't have it both ways buddy. One bad call against the Lakers in the final seconds is what gave the Spurs a chance to win the game. The Lakers are clearly the better team and will be for the next five years.
