Lamar Odom is the amazing disappearing man. One day looks like an all star team member, another someone who should be riding the bench. It's amazing that this far into his career he's still so wildly inconsistent. I think more than the other players, as lamar goes so go the Lakers. If he's good, the Lakers are in business. If he starts brooding and goes into a funk it could let S.A. back into the series.

The Spurs looked good at home, but who does not look good at home in the playoffs? The media praised the Lakere for the past 2 games, now the Spurs take a turn. In the Spurs losses the excuses were too tired, Manu hurt, too old, can't repeat title 2 years in a row. When they win the excuses all some how go away. The Lakers did not get credit for wins other than they were lucky and if the Spurs weren't tired and Manu was not hurt then they would have won. Let's talk about injuries. Bryant - Utah series back problems that cost Lakers 2 games, broken pinky too, Andrew Bynum is the starting center out for year, Trevor Azria - starting forward out for 1/2 year and most of playoffs. Spurs all are healthy and none reported injured, look at team injury reports to verify.

So were do go from here? The Lakers are young and have been taking 1/2 the year to learn how to play without starters and play reserves. The Spurs can't say that. So did the Spurs really have any excuses for losing games 1 & 2, no they were out played by reserves and the laker fans. Kobe has his 30 or so.

The series will go back and forth and don't dis credit each others teams by saying I'm hurt, tired or to old. Spurs are Champions as of last year. Give them credit. Lakers were Champions 3 years in a row too. So what, this is a new year and its an experienced team vs. a newer reserve team.

Who is giving you all these excuses that you speak of? If you listen closely, none of the Spurs players or coaches are making excuses. If you are going to listen to fans they will always have an excuse. Just like your "(1) Bryant-back problems (2) broken pincky (3) Bynum out for the year (4) azria out for 1/2 year. Eventhough you call it "Lakers did not get credit for", they are still excuses.
