What is going on in the land of basketball? No draft pick, then trade a future 2nd round pick for #39 last night...for a guy that won't touch American soil in 2 years! WHY?

Orein Greene is not going to make or break the team, but at least he contributed while ON the team. Hint-hint.

Please trade Jermaine O'Neal and Jamal Tinsley together and take what you can at this point. Come on Larry, YOU DA MAN. Lets light this candle and bring back PACER PRIDE in 2008

who are the pacers kidding ? certianly not all of us who didn't show up at conseco last season or watch games on tv and the growing number who will follow the rest of us. this franchise has become an embarassment. did we see marquis daniels and jamal tinsley smiling and laughing as they left thier recent court apperance, and larry says this is the young core of talented players he wants to build around. larry .....shame on you. it was less difficult to stomach jack mckinney and the curtian dopped on the second leval at msa in the early 80's. this is not the larry bird i knew in 78,79,80, and 81.....will there soon be an expansion franchise that we can let "stinko" go to so he can have a chance to be a star
....he's just what we DON"t need another project.

You are right on the money.
This Larry guy is something else
from pacers.com

<bquote>All these trade rumors that's going on out there, you hear everybody talking about it – it's all bogus," Bird said Thursday night. "Somebody starts it and they keep feeding the fire with it. We're going to look this summer to maybe do something if we get the right deal to make us better. If not, we'll come back with what we have.

That's Bogus on your part Larry.
And so is this draft pick.

<b quote>
"When I take a European player I don't expect it to be one or two years, it could be three or four. I like to get these guys to come over here when they're about 25, 26, 27 years old. They're mature, they've been through all of it, they know what to expect and they're ready to make the jump over. A lot of young guys like to jump into the fray right away and it takes them a few years. I expect when we bring these guys over, they'll be ready to go."

Just like Sarunas_Jasikevicius

And this is what Barac Says
<bquote>
Barac, who speaks little English, said he was "so excited" about being drafted and, though confident he has NBA ability, knows he needs "more powers, more strengths, I think."

Larry Bird is the worst president in all of basketball. They need to fire him. He should have to coach all of these players

Last year was the first season since 1986 that I didn't go to a Pacers game. I don't think I'm going to go back any time soon. They are a joke!

Its so easy to get upset and and angry over the ordeal going in with the Pacer organization. If you want to look on the bright side, it is said that good things come out from bad situations. I'm not sure what the deal is but I see ppl who are upset in this forum. Stop sweatin' the small stuff. The team is in control and if they play hard and stay together and not let whats going on influence them, they'll be a NBA Finals material.

Lsrry:

Do you get some sort of sexual gratification from being the most ignorant, stupid, arrogant dick head in the NBA?

Once again the best proof you can't fix stupid...Larry I'm a dork fish Bird.

I feel sorry for his kids, they have to call him dad.

Well, maybe the Eddie Gill two year thing taught Larry a lesson with Greene? Or how about that Sarunas coming and going?
Have said it a few times: Bird doesn't know PGs because he never needed one, even though he had good ones. Man, I'm from ISU and the Bird years and it's obvious he's not going to close in on his glory playing years.

Bring back the Red White and Blue Bassleballs from the ABA. Let Mel Daniels take the ABA Pacers down to play the KY Colonels. That is about all that is left.

Strange with that quote from Barac....sounds a lot like a Borat quote. Coincidence? Maybe Barac needs more strengths and more sexy times too...
