Maybe instead of exploring all avenues and leaving no stone unturned, Kahn should focus plans that would make the T-Wolves better, like getting fair value for Jefferson. A Jefferson-Igoudala trade would fit the bill.

Iggy is the same player we just drafted number 4 overall... Are you proposing to have a starting lineup (as the roster stands now)? I am actually open to the idea of a Flynn, Love, Johnson, Iggy, and Milicic starting lineup. Seems fairly competitive.

Does Kahn just try and focus on one position and get about 7 guys that play the same position

Why doesn't anyone else realize how good Ramon Sessions is?...as a fan of Ramon's, I hope he gets dealt to a competent team ASAP so he can resume is career...watching him waste away on the Wolves bench is just a damn shame.

Isn't this guy terribly injury prone?
Well, I do miss the days of Terrel Brandon at the point injured all the time. Oh the nostalgia!
Maybe we can bring Marbury back for a workout and get him out of retirement? Spreewell will probably work pretty cheap too. Turn over those stones, Kahn!

Having Iggy would limit Brewer's minutes (which, even with his improvement last year would be a good thing). You've got to fit Webster in there as well, but I don't think he's going to be any good either. The reason Webster's shooting percentage was high when he played more than 30 minutes/game is that the Blazers left Webster in games for more minutes when he was making his shots. The Wolves idea that simply giving Webster 30+ minutes a game will cause him to go from a career 40% shooter to a 50% shooter is idiotic. I'd be happy if they dumped both Brewer and Webster. Then the wing rotation could be Ellington-Johnson-Igoudala.

Why the Wolves are collecting mediocre players is beyond me. For an NBA championship you need two top-10 players and the supporting cast can almost take care of itself. 1 or 2 good players (Big Al, Love, Johnson) plus 8 decent players only gets you >20 wins. They should have drafted Cousins, he has better chance than Johnson at being a perennial all-star and a top-10 talent. If Rubio turns out to be another top-10 talent, then they would have been on their way.

As it stands now, the best the Wolves can hope for is for Rubio to be a top-10 talent that leads them back to the playoffs and early exits.(I'd rather be wrong and see Johnson turn into Roy, but since he couldn't even dominate consistently in college, that's just not happening.)

Maybe Kahn is putting together a trade that would involve Big Al and one of the PGs they have already have on the roster (Flynn, Sessions, Rubio??) for something else. Ever think of that. Have to have another PG if you trade one. If not, you whacko's would be critizing him for that, too. I say give the guy a chance. The Wolves are so bad now, anything Kahn does is sure to help. Relax, they suck anyway.

This might have already been said, but if the Wolves do sign Luke I'm willing to bet it would be to package him with Jefferson for David Lee, assuming Lebron signs with New York. It has been said that the Knicks are hot for Luke but most likely can't sign him because of cap space money needed to sign Lebron.....stay tuned

More likely they are looking to sign him to play, and trade Jonny Flynn in a package. If another team was after Ridnour, they could likely sign him - mid-level exception most likely. Someone else is probably interested in taking Al if they can get Jonny Flynn. The Knicks need a PG, so do the Pacers and others.

We'll try to trade Flynn + Al for Granger, and Ridnour would be Sessions' backup this season.
Next season, Rubio arrives and PG won't be a problem no more.

Boozer just signed with Chicago so that leaves just Minne, New Jersey and possibly Phoenix as Lee destinations. I don't see the Wolves keeping Luke being 29 years old as it goes against Kahn's rebuilding plan and youth movement. Plus isn't there some kind of NBA rule in place against starting 5 white guys?? If we sign and keep Luke and Lee and pair them with Love, Milicic, and Rubio??

Its time all you internet GMs just shut up and let things play out. I dont agree with some of the thing khan has done since he has taken over but the guy has a plan. Its not an over night turn around and shouldnt be expected to be. Its gonna take a few years to make this team even remotely competetive. We have some good pieces of the puzzle and will be trading for other. Ridnour wouldnt be a bad signing because they are planning on trading Jefferson and either Flynn or Sessions and Luke is a pretty good back up. Just let things play out. Wait and see if we get David Lee and wait to see what kind of trade he pulls off with Jefferson, at that point we may start to see where this thing is going.

Trading Big Al for Lee makes no sense. It doesn't make the team any better and Big Al has more value than Lee around the league. Besides, as soon as Bosh-Wade and LeBron sign their contracts, Lee and Boozer are going to break the bank with ridiculous franchise-killing deals. I'd bet the Knicks keep Lee to pair with their idiotic deal for Stoudemire.

In the NBA their are about 10-15 players who can win you a title. If that's a team's goal, they shouldn't give out max money to anyone who's not a top-ten level player. Right now I'd say the top 10 level players are Wade, LeBron, Howard, Bosh, Kobe, Carmelo, Duncan, CP3, Durant and Nowitzki. Gasol, Roy, Rondo and Rose are close behind, whereas Duncan and Nowitzki are on the way out of the top 10 (due to age). If you don't have access to one of these players, every move you make should be in view of positioning to try and get one of these players. Spending the money on someone who isn't one of these players leads to a long stay in NBA purgatory.

If they're going to do a sign-and-trade with Luke, it's the Knicks who need to talk to Luke not the Wolves. I guess if Sessions is going to be traded it could make sense (a small amount with Rubio coming) to talk to Luke.

LeBron is staying with the Cavs- or maybe going to the Bulls. He will not go to the Knicks, who remain a dysfunctional organization.

Sounds like Mr. Jones is getting a little tense!! These obscure news paper posting boards are the only place were we, internet GM's can voice our opinions and relieve our frustrations and anxieties.

Not signing here either. Amare Stoudamire wants the Knicks to sign him. Why would you want to sign with a bottom feeder when you could play in New York where they've already signed one top free agent?

Shannon Brown is unrestricted and actually thrived at the 2 when he got minutes in the triangle for the Lakers last season. Seems like a good FA to pursue... Kahn?
