A humiliating loss!
Shame on the Lakers!
And shame on Los Angeles for supporting a bunch of prima donna losers who never even showed up to play.

dude take off your fan goggles the refs were your 6th, 7th and 8th man out there. Your telling me that Kobe who got double and tripled teamed all series is not getting fouled once ina while ?
Thats so sad that the refs call touch fouls on are guys and you can chuck hayes smacking gasols arms and artest and shane grabing and nothing is called this series has been a joke . All because the Nba wants to make buzz and try to make more money
Kobe is not getting to the paint. He has been shooting jumpers all series. Kobe can beat us but he has to hit the jumpers because we will not let him get in the paint. Gasol is the key for you guys. The game was called fair, you guys came out flat. Period

It seems that our LAKERS lost that fighting mentality when they found out about yao being injured. It was almost like they were disappointed because the challenge was gone. All NBA fans know the LAKERS can destroy any and every team whenever they feel like it. They need to feel like they have something to fight for. If you look at the losses in the season, they were against pitiful teams that they could have taken out in two shakes. Lakers will end up in the finals against that 1 man show in Cleveland and do like they did on that 6 game road trip, DOMINATE. Sorry Houston, Denver. Game over.

Very disappointing loss. Bynum acts and looks like he doesn't even care anymore. Unless they get their AZZ in gear, this season is going to end on a bad note again.

Sometimes I wonder if the NBA sets these teams up to promote franchise income for each other. It's well established that fans go away fast if a team disappoints. The Lakers obviously have the ability to beat the Rockets and yet every player seemed to leave something off their shots and they seemed held back. Is the NBA saying to them hey, let em have this one and you can bring it back to LA to regain your fan base at home?

I hate to say it but even the foul calls looked tilted in favor of the Rockets yesterday. How much money ya think is lost if a fan base dwindles after a loosing playoff? Are we in LA about to find out?

BTW any team can loose interest in a game when they see the refs tilting the calls toward the other team. If the writing is on the wall why chance injury to a brick wall?

LA will be different/engaged at home but then they have to fight the refs in Houston again. This won't be easy until the 7th game. Wait and see. Just what the NBA wants. NBA GET OUT OF THE WAY AND LET THE TEAMS PLAY!

This team has no heart.

Did the Lakers think Houston would just roll over and say OK we give up? Yes.

Fisher was a total waste on the court for 21 minutes. He spent his time standing around watching players blow by him. Fisher should be replaced in the starting line up.

I'm rolling over in my grave! If this team makes it past Houston, do they think they'll get past Denver, Orlando,or Cleveland? This Lakers team is very unconsistant and that doesn't win championships. They need to take a look at the way the SHOWTIME Lakers of the 80's played the game. Common Lakers if you want to win, you need to,you must play with Heart!I know you can do! Let's Go Lakers!! Love Chicky Baby

You said it right Jeff! Fisher needs to retire after this season and give the younger guys time to shine.

I cant wait to see an "Amazing" videos where the smallest guys Brooks tips in the basket with .7 seconds all over the lakers. Cant be blaming the refs, Joey "The Fix" Crawford was not there.

Face it you guys were out played, Kobe couldnt stand the fact that Battier was scoreing. Rockets are the tougher and more determined team. Without Yao, Tmac or Deke, like Barley said " You have to take you hat off to the Rockets"

I'm not sure why there is a discussion about fouls. The lakers got their ass kicked without Yao or Tmac...stop making excuses!!! Its making yall look even more pathetic!!! Even if we lose I'm glad this team has exposed the "Mighty" Lakers!! GO ROX!!

Simple.. Lakers = No Heart!!!! The question is hypthetically speaking, where would the Fakers be if there was no Kobe in the line-up??? It's about team effort, not a one man show. Even if the Lakers win the series, the Rockets have shown what it means to play with heart and through adversity.

As a Laker fan i'm disappointed in the way they played and lost no excuses about fouls or anything else. Lakers lost because they did not play team basketball........If they continue to play like this the only way to get to a championship will be to buy a ticket to go see denver play the cavs

Bynum is a huge dissappointment
Fisher is too old and too slow notice hes not drawing charging penalities any more? because he too busy bull fighting

Gasol needs to play like a man in the middle

There is no way the "lakers" can win the championship this year. Im a laker far but they do not have the "killer instinct" needed in the play-off. Look at cleveland. They bury their opponents right from the start. For a #1 seed team to lose a game without mcgrady and yao ming is just a joke. And they got their asses kicked!! If ever they beat houston in this series, denver will beat the crap out of them.
