I thought improving the defense is what the team had in mind when they brought in Harter. Come on, Mr. Harter, do what you did for the team in the late 90's...make them boys focus on defense!

How can slow, over-rated, over-paid, less than average, white boys and complacent, not caring, criminals focus on defense? This team is by far the worst in the league...

Won't win 30 games this year....

Thank Larry Bird...

3-1 on the trip? We've looked like a real team the past couple of game. That would be a nice boost to the early season.

Disregarding the usual b!tching and moaning you find on these message boards, I'll say I've seen some promising moments with this team. Surely, it will take them half a season to figure all of this out. If they are .500 going into the all-star break, I'll be happy. Then we'll see what the team is really made of in the second half. Making the playoffs should be considered a success. Advancing one round should be considered a wild success. This particular group of players will not be a title threat, but, until we see them perform at their best in this system, we will not know which additional pieces we need.

Pacers D died when Artest left. Ohh wait, I almost forgot he left because of the Detroit Brawl which would have never happened had the Pacers not made that stupid trade for Stephen "Just Shoot Me" Jackson!!!!!!!

There isn't anyone on the Pacers that could guard a locked door with a rifle and a pit bull. JO can swat shots away, but that's only when he's not feeling any pain in his knees.

Who cares about JO, he doesn't fit Jim Obrien's system and the team plays better with out him. Besides no one cares about the pacers and who on the team is or isn't injured. Or ever let alone pro basketball. Indiana B-Ball and injuries are all only about these 3 teams IU, Purdue, and Butler. And I honestly wouldn't be one bit surprized if next to the Colts of course, Butler B-Ball is the hottest thing reguarding sports in indy.

Is this defense on the basketball court or defense from flying bullets shot by the thugs who now wear and disgrace the Pacer's uniforms.

Good job well said you do seem to be a true blue n gold fan. This team is progressing, those guys that most these people on here blast just beat one of the best teams in the league that has 2 of the best stars w/o our most productive player of the last 6 years... well most of the last 6 years. GO PACERS

The brawl would not have happened if they didnt have Stephen Jackson? Hold on wasnt it RONNIE that pushed Ben Wallace in the back while he was up in the air for a dunk, got shoved back, ran to cool off at the scores table before some guy tossed a cold liquid (which should have helped cool him off) at him, and this is worth making this skinny fan feel pain? Jackson was a punk but all he did was defend a teammate.

Hey ARS-hole, you must be a Golden State fan who feels he needs to stand up for Stephen Jackson, right? I don't know whether or not you actually saw any film on the "brawl" but it was pretty obvious that Jackson was the one who escalated the incident into what it became when he ran like a MANIAC into the stands swinging his fists and hitting the innocent kids that were sitting next to the guy who threw the cup of beer. I wish we had kept Artest and got rid of your Capt. Jack sooner.("Captain" of the Warriors, what a joke!)

Jackson Captain, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. GS fans defenitally won't be saying that when he starts stealing the ball, hogging it and brickin everything. And I gurentee you he will do that before the season ends. Shoot when he was with us he was good his first season, then next thing you know he's hoggin the ball and bricking every thing just like he did with GS in the playoffs. Just wait till he comes to Indy me and a ton of other people are going to go completely silent when he takes a shot then cheer like crazy when he misses it.

What RONNIE'S the one responsible for the brawl and the reason were are bad. ARE YOU ENGLISH OR RETARDED????? Before made that stupid trade for Stephen "Just Shoot Me" Jackson, sure I'll admit Ron Arstest got tossed a bit, but he made up for it after about a year or two. Ron Artest was also happy to be a Pacer, got along great with every one on the team, and was practically the hardest working man in the NBA. Then when Stephen "Just Shoot Me" Jackson showed his sorry @$$ face in a Pacers uniform, first him and Ron get suspended for a brawl in Detroit he was clearly more responsible for. Hell Ron layed down on the anouncers table to stop the fight, all Wacko Jacko did was take a few swings at the fans. And so what if Ron took a few swings at the fans who dumped beer all over him. I don't blame him who wouldn't do that. Then next thing you know all of a sudden when Stephen "Just Shoot Me" Jackson gets to play his first full season with Artest. Ron Artest all of a sudden starts taking time off to promote his rap record label then holds out and demands to be traded. Now look at Ron Artest, he wants to come back to Indiana and what a quincidence Stephen "Just Shoot Me" Jackson is gone. Hell just look at how bad Tinsley got when Stephen "Just Shoot Me" Jackson showed his face in a Pacer uniform. Now you all stuck with his sorry @$$!!!!!!
