Generally speaking, "the haters" are emotionally immature. They are obsessive, over bearing, controlling, petty, envious and jealous people, who are miserable on the inside.
Intense dislike of oneself, self-hatred, is the root of the problem.
The haters are uncomfortable in their own skins and live vicariously through others whom they erect as sports heros, heros whom they may subsequently demote to the status of worthless villains.
They worship their sports heros whom they expect only perfection from, but if their sports heros prove to be less than perfect human beings, and mere mortals who are flawed, flawed just like them, they are quick to turn their heros into villains whom they curse, verbally abuse, and would even physically harm.
When their sports heros perform, speak and live up to their expectations, all is good with the world. The haters feel good on the inside. They feel like winners!
When their sports heros fail or are unable to perform, speak and live up to their expectations, it is all bad, and the world is going to end. The haters feel lousy on the inside. They feel like losers!
How dare their heros disappoint them? Now that they are disappointed, they don't hesitate to tun their sports heros into villains, and, forthwith speak and act against them with deadly venom.
The greater are the heros, the haters have erected for themselves in their own minds, the greater the disappointment they suffer within themselves, when their heros prove to be mere imperfect mortals, imperfect just like them. Rather than working hard to improve themselves from the inside out, and thus being able to genuinely feel good about themselves because of who they are on the inside, they take an easy and ineffective way out, and begin to desecrate their once upon a time heros, making them the sole cause of their unhappiness, the scum of the earth and the butt of their jokes. It they don't begin to change themselves from the inside out, the joke is always going to be on them, not the fallen or demoted heros whom they want to destroy and hurt!
Intense dislike of oneself, self-hatred, is the root of the problem.
