Michael,

On the one night out of 82 when Cleveland fans really needed the Cavaliers to play slightly above their poor-capabilities, they declined the request. The Cavs (none of them from the Cleveland area) did not get the memo about how important this night was.

Not only did the Cavs not get the memo, they yucked it up with Lebron on the sideline as the former King was dropping 38 on them. It even got Charles Barkley's attention at halftime. Barkley is old school. He played with Dr. J, and Moses Malone, and those guys never yucked it up with the Celtics. It was a different time. Today's athletes hug each other before, during, and after the game. Millionaires are chummy I guess.

Cleveland fans left The Q with their angst intact, and new questions about the putridness of their less than professional basketball team.

"Then, out of another tunnel came actor/comedian Drew Carey, followed by other Cleveland luminaries ..." ... none of whom could play basketball. Dumb move by LeBron to do the ESPN show, but that was one day in his life. Lots of fans living every day of their lives whining about this, when the writing has been on the wall forever. This guy was thrown into big-time ball straight out of high school after spending his school days being shopped around to the best programs. He never had time for a Dale Carnegie course, but I'll bet if a Tressel had been at the helm instead of a feckless DotCom brat like Gilbert this story would be different. Bernie, OTOH, is a great, ringless friend of Cleveland.

He gave them 7 of the best years of his life and doesn't owe them a thing, but certainly could have handled it better. So he grew up in the area. Big deal. Where are all the rest of the Cavs and Browns from?

Hyped up entertainment similar to pro wrestling last night.

The Cavs were terrible and deserved humiliation, but the stands were full and, in the end, that's what counts.

Derek Anderson gets vilified for smiling for two seconds on TV yet LeBron is seen joking around with the Cavs bench. What's wrong with this picture?

The athletes are the ones who get it. It's just a show for the suckers who buy the tickets and $10 beers. We're all buddies in different uniforms.

What exactly did LeBron give Cleveland? The best regular season record?
LeBron is nothing more than an overrated, self-proclaimed champion.

Laron takes his second dump on Cleveland, how many more times do they play each other? Poor, pitiful, pathetic cleveland. It really is a mistake.

He could've scored 100 points and it still wouldn't matter. He HAS acted like a fool and someday he'll realize it.

Hey, it will be a packed house every time he shows up as the fools as scream their heads off as LeBron and Dan Gilbert cry all the way to the bank from this glorified playground game.

Throw in the parking lots, restaurants, bars, TV networks, e.t.c. They should all band together to encourage LeBron to come to Cleveland MORE often!

Charles Barkley told him "you can never recapture your youth." LeBron gave 7 years of his youth to Cleveland and, whatever they paid him, he'll never get that back. I think the guy thinks seriously about these things and that was one reason he left, to escape the "curse."

I can't defend the way he did it, but he was loyal enough to them and was smart enough to make a decision in his own interest. Wouldn't you?

You nailed it. You would think he would have understood how important pro sports is in Cleveland. King Quitter could have been a hero but now he is a big fat zero.

Given Cleveland's passion, I'm surprised they didn't rip out the seats and throw them at LaQuitter. At the Browns games fans used to sneak in D batteries and pack them in snow and hurl them at the opposing team.

Yeah, smart enough to wait til the last possible second to do it, successfully destroying any chance CLE had to find someone with talent to try and fill the void. Lebron was insanely selfish and you are an idiot.

Well since you mentioned Tressel, why don't you just keep on worshipping the Buckeyes, as this looks like the only winning team you have here in Ohio!! LOL!!!! Lebron put in to them with class and skills!!!

Sounds like something idiot democrats from Cleveland would do. My city sucks so I will
I will throw batteries at the other guy. Passion is attending the game when your team is 4 and 12, ignorance leads one to do ignorant things like hitting some kid sitting at field level in the head with a battery thrown from the upper deck.

The reaction of the GM and fans to Lebron's leaving Cleveland, and their continued reaction, is ludicrous. Even though I am not a Miami fan (GO BULLS!), I was glad to see Lebron stick it to 'em.

Did Cleveland break up with you? Cheat on you? You sound like a jilted lover, hell-bent on revenge. BTW, get off LeBron's tip, he wouldn't even acknowledge you in public.
