Wolves Sink Suns; End 17-Game Win Streak

The hard-driving Phoenix Suns finally hit a road block in Kevin Garnett. Garnett almost single-handedly snapped the Suns' 17-game winning streak, scoring 44 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in Minnesota's ... Full Story

This is what I'm talking about. This is what is going to get us into the playoffs. Most teams go up against phoenix and try to play phoenix's run and gun offensive game, but the wolves didn't fall into that. They played their own game, shot the ball well, and really cranked down on the defense. If Wittman can make these guys play that good that consistantly, McHale may have really done the right thing in firing Casey. Lets see a win against the Kings, whaddya say?

C'mon man! Enjoy your win but remember, it's only one! It took a 60% shooting night and KG having a career night to beat my Suns! If Minn can do that every night, then they deserve to FINALLY make it out of the 1st round! Congrats to the T-Wolves, but don't read too much into it!!
GO SUNS!!!!!!!!!!
the next streak starts Thursday!

I didn't see the game but from what I heard about it,you're right, and I also heard that KG went beserk in the 4th quarter and they had no answer for him. That win should be a great confidence booster because even the elite teams and "championship contenders" couldn't stop the suns, and look who did it? we did, I kno we must be felein ourselves right now because we upset alotta people wit tha win. I think we can beat the Kings, hopefully Wittman keeps this team on edge EVERY game and not just teams that're great,we shouldn't be losing agianst teams like the kings or the hawks.

Really, if you reread what i said, I wasn't bragging. I said what happened in that game, and basicly that I hope that this type of play can happen more consistantly now that Wittman is head coach, and that if so, they would make the playoffs. Phoenix is a good team, don't get me wrong, but we got the best of them for that night. I don't doubt phoenix could go on another winning streak from hell, but as said in the lord of the rings.. "Do not trust in hope; it has forsaken these lands." Same thing goes for the both of us.

dont worry bout him it's jus an anti-wolves fan tryin to keep our spirits down. I think Wittman realizes that we need to feed off Garnett's intensity every game and need to give him alotta touches for us to be successful. Casey was more towards Davis and Foye and sat KG down when we needed him the most. I think we'll make the playoffs, BUT for us to make it to the 2nd round,we need to make it to a 5th or 6th seed so we can play a team like the Spurs b/c I think we can beat them. The suns and Mavs'll run us into the ground in a 7 game series

Please! I have nothing against Minnesota. I was trying to express to you guys that their performance was an aberration and you shouldn't expect performances like this on a nightly basis. I respect KG and would like to see him have some postseason success, as long as it doesn't come at the Suns' expense!

All of you are wrong like a red headed step child. If the Wolves even MAKE it to the playoffs, it'll be a first round whoopin' BY the Mavs. What are you THINKING that they even have a chance against Dallas? And the Suns can't make it in a series.. they have no defense, even though it has improved this year. Dallas is the best in the west... period.

The Suns don't really neeed defense to make it in the playoffs b/c look what they did to LA last year with Tim Thomas shooting the lights out. I think we're gong to make it to the playoffs because we have an easy schedule the last coupla weeks of the reg season,I think we'd be able to put up a fight agianst Dallas, not saying we'd win,but we wouldn't get swept either.

We wouldn't sweep the Suns.. I believe it'd go to 6 or 7 games, but I honestly believe Dallas would come on top. The Suns are easily going to the playoffs. Looks like we'll meet in the conference finals.
