if anything he should sign with the clippers. they are need of a sf and guess what cutino mobley who was a rocket played well with them. plus they talent in davis and gordon, kaman, and rookie griffin. it would be great to see him play for LA. but not the lame lakers.

Yes those two time NBA Champ "lame" Lakers. Now if I was part of those "lame" Lakers management, I would seriously review if McGrady would even be what they need or want. Isn't he the second coming of Penny Hardaway? Do the "lame" Lakers need that?

Shaq thought he didn't need the "lame" Lakers... Now he is forced to publicly kiss Kobe's arse because he wishes he could be a "lame" Laker again!

Lame line 'um up! Maybe the Lakers will reject the McGrady idea, then the Clippers can land him and he can underachieve or remain injured as part of the Clippers curse!

Good post "Brew in", I agree completely...matter of fact, when I heard of the Tracy rumor, Penny Hardaway popped into my head lol

Besides being extremly Injury prone, the guy is a quitter; no will or drive...no thanks...

I might be more interested in the Raja Bell aquistion.

Blame Darrell Walker for that one. When Tracy played here. Darrell took him aside and said you are an illterate player who will amount to nothing. You sit on the bench and learn. Learn to read, learn to play the game and learn to address the public.I really think that still affected his will to win. It was when Butch Carter came along that he saw potential in Tracey.

If i where part of the Laker Management i would strongly consider looking into Raja Bell and Matt Barnes. Think about it for a sec right now Raja Bell earns about 2+ mil hes a good defender and brings that a good offense. Matt Barnes is an excellent offensive player and right now the Laker Bench is what needs to be beefed up. Both those guys would be a good addition and Lakers dont even need to get into the mid level cap. That is if Farmar and Brown go, we will definitely need to beef up our bench....

Barnes was always a scrapper from his days at UCLA. But if you put too much on his shoulders offensively he will buckle. I agree he would be a perfect sub for a high powered team. But wouldn't he and Odom compete for the same playing time?

I think the chance of McGrady (who I don't think we need) of coming to the Lakers would be zilch and none because he is too similiar to Kobe and Bryant wouldn't allow it. Kobe only wants guys who will compliment around him, not try to steal his show!!!

Seriously guys, it seems like alot of you(tmac haters) suffer from some serious amnesia. Tmac has had a raw deal with some inside politics from the management and coaching staff at Houston. Now minus the lil injuries here and there, how many of you guys would want to play all out for a management that wants to take the air out of your lungs and with all kinda backstabbing political agenders?(I mean come on you bench your star almost whole season...c'mon).
I still think Tmac is a dam good player and now that he can focus on playing the game minus the closed door politics that we the general public, never see, he definately would be a great addition to any team once he has a good complimenting cast of players to work with. Lakers,Knicks,Chicago it don't matter. This man could play!!!
