The boy's parents obviously weren't paying close attention to him.

He fell because the parents weren't watching their child. It took time for a kid to do what he did. Of course, the upcoming lawsuit will decry Staples Center for not having child-proof barriers on the upper decks.

This is what comes from having too little hands-on involvement in raising a child. The parents, using sitters and day-care are completely clueless on how a child can get into just about anything. They obviously don't know how to keep one eye constantly on a toddler.

Otherwise - they'd have been able to keep him away from the barrier that he obvious climbed over. The child's activity takes time. This is no different than leaving your child unattended in a tub or near a swimming pool. One second's inattention is all it takes. A truly involved parent knows this.

Obviously - these parents had no clue. Who's the primary caregiver? Not the parents. Babysitters, most likely. Had the sitter been there, this would not have happened.

The child was obviously a status symbol. "Yes, gotta kid. Wanna see pictures?" That's all the child was to these people. If he meant more, he'd NEVER have gotten into harms way and NEVER would have made it NEAR the parition - let alone over it.

Sterilize these losers.

It is tragic, and sure the parents must have taken their eyes off of him, but I dare one parent to say they haven't ever lost track of their child for a moment. We all have. Unfortunately, this child found mischief that lead to horrible consequences. Even parents that are around their kids constantly lose track for a second or two. Anybody that says they have never taken their eyes off of their toddler is just lying.

If they even THINK about a lawsuit, it will show what pieces of trash they are.

Heck, they'd better put a safety barrier around the entire perimeter of the Grand Canyon.

Investigating HOW this poor child did the swan dive? That's easy... PARENTAL NEGLECT! These morons were so busy partying with their buddies they didn't bother to watch their child.

The only court action that should take place is for them to be criminally charged in the death of their child.

I agree Totally. Also they should not have had a child that young there in the first place. If they have enough Money to have a Luxury Box they have enough for a Babysitter. Hopefully they dont have any more Kids.

Unexpected danger can happen in a split second and you can't control every second of time. This was a very unfortunate situation. I almost fell out out of one if the suites at a recent staples center concert when I stood up and lost my balance.

Another fool who was raised to be a victim. Shame on those parents of yours.
