Riley wants us to focus on the players and what they can do for us.
But I know the problem is not the players, but the way they have been handled.
Pat Riley is the one that needs to be traded or retired. He is well past his prime.
People say, but he won a National Championship, and I say he was only able to do that on the mighty shoulders of Stan Van Gundy.
Look what Van Gundy did in turning around the Magic this year. Phenomenal!!!!!!
We need new coaching, we need a fresh game plan. We need great leadership. And Riley is providing none of that.

Van Gundy is starting to look like a genius while Riley looks like a chump. I agree Riley is past his prime and it's time for him to retire but greed keeps him coaching.

Riley is not too old, his game plan is!

The Chicago Tribune also mentioned Knicks center Eddy Curry on Monday, but it is doubtful Riley would have interest in a big man who neither plays defense nor rebounds and earns an average of $10 million over the next three seasons.

I think the center position is fine for now!

FIRE RILEY, his ego is bigger that Miami.

You guys are crazy and obviously not real fans. I sit in my seat in AAA year in and year out and as such realize everything that Riley has done for this franchise. Show some respect!

Riley's game plan or coaching is not the problem. You can't win when players can't make open shots and don't rebound. It comes down to talent not coaching. The Stan Van Gundy talk makes you all look stupid. They added more talent and Howard is the best center in the league. The Southeast division is also the worst division in the league.

ok you are a autistic person please don't speak again. "Riley is a duck" no retard he is a Hall of Fame Coach not a duck. the problem is the players he has not him. he has players that can't do squat. wade is injuried, the only reason he is still playing this season is to get the fans to come to the game so they can make some money. other than wade there is not one on the team that can score consistantly. put anycoach with these players and you would get the same or worst results.

All you saying Riley's an idiot, find yourself another Miami team to follow because you obviously don't know what he's done for us. The man's a genius.David, john, Mark,Zowman: STFU.

Riley's given you guys Zo, Hardaway, Shaq, Wade, and now that Shaq decided to quit the season and accelerate his aging process, ALL blame goes on Riley! The latest trick Riley's pulled (dumping Shaq's 20mill contract for an All-Star caliber player) just proves he belongs in Miami.

Riles made us. Are you guys serious? what were the heat before 95? From 96 season till 01, we were contenders every year, correct? accept for those NY losses----and from 03 until this year we have had a chance------Other than SAN ANTONIO, who else has had a run like that

Something is in the works, --And who knows, maybe marcus banks is the real deal, and just hasnt had his shot-hes learned under nash for 3 years and was a top 15 pick, so maybe we really got a good deal-----Maybe we can package the 2 expirations, and haslem, for a vince carter/j oneil/ elton brand----- Maybe riles will do something like that----------it does add salary, but we have 3 allstars with wade and marion, and still the mid level

I love how people in this town love to hate on Shaq. Let me tell you how many titles you would have without Shaq, that would be exactly zero.

The guy still gets double teamed everytime in the halfcourt set and allowed heat players to make and mostly miss wide open jump shots for years. He allowed D Wade to flurish in one on one situations and all the while he led the NBA in FG % every season including this season.

So, Riley in his infinite wisdom decides to let his top 3 shooters go for nothing at all so that we can stay under the salary cap and you people blame Shaq and/or wonder why the team sucks? Every Florida franchise is cheap. You cannot contend if you do not spend. The Heat could have easily kept those guys and this team would easily be hovering around the .500 mark plus by signing all those quality guys they would have plenty of pieces to offer teams for trade bait.

Paul Gasol just got traded for a pack of cigarettes. Obviously, when you are cheap and your goal is to stay under a very soft nba salary cap, you will not compete for long.

Let a few weeks go by and see what the Suns look like with Shaq. They will be much better than they were with Marion.
