Gasol loves LA mainly because he can make superstar money wthout being THE guy.

Lots of players want the cash without the responsabilities.

Too many teams pay franchse money to guys who arent.
Look at the 76ers who will eventually overpay Iguodala.

Gasol is a winner. In one year in Memphis he lost more games than the total number of losses he suffered in Barcelona when he played there. Pau is happy in the Lakers because of the commitment of his teammates, the public...
I've always supported the Lakers and I'm very happy with the trade. It's true Gasol's defense is not his best quality(if someone doesn't agree look at him all the time during 5 minutes and you'll see he doesn't make a lot of effort) but that's not a reason to say he's there for the amount of money he can get for the effort he does.
Gasol likes being a Laker because, like with Spain, he has the opportunity to do a good job in the competition.

I dont know what you are talking about. You think the Lakers could have done what they've done since they lost Bynum without Gasol? Gasol is a lazy on defense, but he can stretch the other teams defense out and give Bynum (once he comes back) room to operate in the post. He has high basketball IQ and he fits well in this offense.

I agree with You, but I still think he needs to find some D if we want the Lakers to go all the way.
