hell dropping to a cool 72 degrees happens more often than trades involving four teams.
ridiculous...

lakers fans need to accept the fact that the team is pretty much set roster-wise for next season.

Hey there what happened to the giving up Kidd trade? ha ha ha ha.... see never say never.
Honestly I don't see this type of trade happening,
355 said a four team trade very hard get it done.

In both trades there is one team the just gets screw that makes it real hard for the trade to get done.

Scenario 1 - Laughable. You have the Nets giving up Richard Jefferson AND Jason Kidd, plus Ilic, in return for:

1) two still unproven youngsters (Bynum, Farmar)
2) a guy who just barely got picked in the draft and has a history of cancer (Karl),
3) one of the biggest busts in draft history (Brown),
4) two guys who could soon be in jail (Tinsley and Daniels)
5) and a guy entering what is probably his last year in the league (Armstrong).

All this after they re-signed Vince Carter to a huge deal, i.e. stated an intent to win NOW, not rebuild.

Meanwhile you have the Pacers getting Jefferson, Odom and Radmanovic for O'Neal, Tinsley, Armstrong and Daniels? Well, the Pacers would definitely be happy, anyhow.

And the second proposal is as ridiculously unbalanced as the first. Never in a million years.

I think at this point their are fans that would want to just have a trade done just to have a new face in there, oh well training camp is just weeks away we shall see what they look like, I wouldnt want to be mitch if the lakers look like crap.

What does bynum have to average in order for you to forget about kidd? of course I still say bynum was too much to give up for kidd but we will find out, but to you what does bynum have to average to justify not dealing him for kidd im just curious.

hmm...i never thought of it, i dont really think there is a number exactly, it doesnt matter to me what he averages, we just shuda gotton jason kidd, thats all i think, but u know whatever, its water under the bridge, and im just looking forward to the season with every player we have, including bynum and their growth, i dont hate the guy, but its jason kidd, thats all. lets just say if he were to be shaq this up coming season, then i will be happy we didnt trade him...lol, that may be a little unreasonable.

Corey Maggette is someone i wud really love to have on the lakers, he will be a free agent next season, i would love it if the lakers made a real push for him, he likes LA, good friends with Kobe, used to play with Lamar as well. he is a pretty underated defender, not saying hes like artest, but he can shut ppl down to an extent.

yeah well I think adrew needs to show an improvement this season to prove it was a good no trade, and yeah good point on maggette he is someone we could really use, No way the lakers will have the money to sign him, unless it comes in a sign and trade deal, which I doubt the clippers would be willing to do with the lakers.

ummm... 10 assists per game, 15 points per game, 8-10 rebounds per game... during an 82 game season. Then I'll believe it was worth keeping him. And I mean this coming season... not in 3-4 years!:)

you asked!

well, compare it to j. kidd in 3-4 years... by that time he'll be a happily retired grandfather.

Yeah nice I am sure we would have enjoyed 2 years of kidd at that level.

Well I notices that most of the time when the Lakers suck in the preseason tournament they have a good season and when do really well they
go no where.
Have You ever notices that?

I know Showtime is very high on Bynum and wants this to be his breakout season.
But if he doesn't get it together by All star break I said trade him. For me that is going to be the deadline for him to get it together. Unless there is an injury.
if he doesn't show a lot of improvement and why
not try to reopen talks with the Nets for Kidd.

Yeah I somewhat notice that too but I dont put too much into that cause honestly you dont really know whats gonna happen, preseason is just nice to see what the youngsters and new guys look like, and get somewhat of an idea of how they will do. Damn Sasha looked great in preseason last year and that was totally a mirage, Smush parker another mirage, infact the lakers were one huge mirage last year, but there is that question of what if they would not have been so banged and damn they were banged up if you remember well it was just a circus one would come in and one would go out. It was a streak of bad luck, so alot of questions need to be answered, and this time fans are not gonna go in with the same excitement they had last year.

Well if Bynum can average 10 boards and 15 points. 1.5 blocks. I say yeah keep him and
not just agains sorry team but agains good teams too. He need show the fire inside.
I don't want Bynum to be another Campbell, I need to see the fire inside and bring it in the
playoff.
Do You think I am asking for too much ?
