Well, I'm 32 and a Phx native, so I've been behind them ever since I can remember. That '93 Suns-Bulls finals totally transformed Phoenix. The entire city was on that bandwagon and it took us years to recover from the loss. I swear to this day that Paxson's foot was on the 3-point line on the last second game-winner, game 5 I think it was. It carves my heart out just thinking about it. Of course, the only previous time the Suns were that close was a classic series too (vs. Celts,'76), but that was before my time. We got to get this one...we want it so bad here.
Oh well thats kool you been very loyal, im 25 so I was alive but too young to understand what was going on with the show time lakers but I grew up knowing about them, and watching old games and magic became my favorite player, I was exited when he came back in that 95/96 season I got to watch him of course he was nothing like he use to be but still he made it interesting, but I do appricate nba history alot I try to learn what I can about these past players. its funny a friend of mine says he has video of charles barkley after the finals between the suns and bulls saying that jordan will never win another championship again and he went on to win 3 more after that lol but well at least he speaks his mind even if hes wrong half the time.

Thanx, Will. I'm the same way. After my team is done, I usually have to step away from the game a l'il bit to lick my wounds. Shyt, I didn't even watch the Finals last year I was so pissed at us losing to those sorry-ass Mavs!

such a funny guy cyber...
congrats cyber and nash mv3-(i agree) to your suns for winning with relative ease. the better team prevailed.
the next round will be your biggest challenge- those spurs are a tricky bunch of old guys. that series may just go the full seven games.
cheers!
355s, those Spurs are TOUGH on us! They're the kryptonite to our Superman! This is how it is for all teams to reach greatness...they must knock of their arch rival to get to the promised land. Just like MJ and the Bulls against the Bad Boys of Detroit. We'll see what happens come Sunday! Thanx for the congrats!

I got to see Magic in the latter part of the Showtime prime and was a big fan...I mean you had to be if you wanted to root for a winner because back then most teams other than LA and Boston were mediocre at best. Anyway, he played amazing ball to witness...a very unique skill set. People talked a lot about witnessing history when you got to see Jordan, but looking back I feel the same way about Magic.

Oh man, don't get me started on Barkley the blow-hard. He's always said crazy crap to get attention. I think his outrageous comments (these days, anyway) are less about speaking his real opinions and more about trying to keep a particular public image, and not seem like a homer, etc. We liked him a lot when he was our biggest superstar ever, but now you hardly find anyone with anything good to say about him around here.

Honestly I think people laugh at him rather than laugh with him, im sure he knows that, and I believe thats why hes paid to work on tnt not because of his opinions, the advantage charles has is he doesnt have to be professional he can basically say or do what he wants and people look at him like 5 year old just laughing at him, but whatever he can be very entertaining at times, I dont think hes for the hardcore basketball fan that wishes to hear good smart comments, if you are one of those fans then he will piss you off, hes just a fun guy thats all he is.

Hey man I thought the spurs were gonna get exposed against the nuggets but let me tell you they look good, they look quicker than I thought they were, its almost as if they saved some energy for the playoffs, its gonna be a good series, do you agree with me that amare doesnt get enough credit? the guy is a stud I think hes quickly becoming the leader on that team, he really was the difference in this years matchup against the lakers, amare was huge he can do it inside and outside, its gonna be a good match between him and duncan. I believe the suns should get credit as a team they have a excellent all around team, sometimes the media forgets about these other guys.

Stoudemire is a straight-up beast! The forgotten man in PHX is Shawn Marion. I don't think too many people that don't follow the Suns give him the credit he truly deserves. He guards everyone from PGs to Cs (it's ridiculous that he didn't make the All-Defensive Team). He averages 18pts a game without getting any plays called for him. He gets us 10 boards every game and always seems to make a key hustle play when the Suns need it. His skill set fits the Suns perfectly and I think he embodies D'antoni's style. Amare and Shawn will be the difference if they are to overcome the Spurs.

I agree with marion being the forgotten one, I just think amare doesnt get his share of credit, actually the whole team is amazing the credit has to go around everywhere, I do think amare is your best player, marion is fits that system well as you said, but you combine a team filled with althletic good shooters and put the best play maker in with them its gonna be a great team just wish everyone would get credit not just nash.
