RonRon is doing fine so far. He is going to relish not playing 35 minutes a game.
Fish will be at 100% Playoff time with 5 guards playing.
I hope Andrew feels like he can get rid of the brace
in the near future, Lakers will win 63-68 games.

How many games have the Lakers played so far?
Isn't this pre-season?
A bit too early to start in on how Artest "fits in".
Gimmie a break!!

I have all the respect in the world for Fisher but he has become a defensive liability. He is too slow to stop anyones point guard and once the opposition has penetrated the key, everything else breaks down. Brown or Farmar should be getting the minutes now. If neither of them are trusted, trade them for someone who is. We really are just one player from being ,not just a great team, but a perfect team.
Sorry Derrick, you have all my respect

Artest has proven to be a good defender agains physical forwards and guards. Also he is always a scoring threat on the floor. Once he gets comfortable with the players(not necessarily the Trianble Offense) you will see his offensive threat more so. Jackson earns his pay with his ability to get high caliber players to play together and in the system. He will do this with Artest or it will be the end of Artest's career in the NBA. Artest is a competitor and his hunger to win and win a championship may be the best motivator for him to be a LAKER. If he wins a championship with the LAKERS, the big question mark would be...Has he learned and matured to want to stay a LAkER?

Many fans will miss Ariza's ability to pick off pases or defensive play during a key time in a close game. But, the I had a sense that the honeymoon was going to be over. Ariza jumped ship early from UCLA and had not matured in the NBA before coming to the LAKERS. He would have been better off staying with the LAKERS before jumping ship again for $$$$.

For this season and to improve the changes of the LAKERS repeating as champions, which player would you bet on to help the LAKERS do that?

I vote for Artest because of his experience, strength, scoring ability and defensive abilities. Ariza had quick defensive abilities but did not match up against bigger/stronger players and engery. Defense wins championships!!! LAKERS have more than enough offense.

I think it's stupid that there's what's considered "mixed results." There's been exactly 2 preseason games. Let him get some time under his belt.

RELAX...RELAX...The "LAKE SHOW" will be just fine
when the regular season starts...I have been a fan
since 1967; and believe me, this will be a banner
year for us! Ron Artest is a great player and will
shine brighter and brighter, as the regular season
moves forward.

The Lakers will win the Title with or without Artest doing great. They have the Best Coach, Player, team. And Phil has never won a title without repeating.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Capricorn

You'll have difficulty finding equilibrium in your emotional life at the moment; try to control the impulsive side of your character. At work, your usual powers of intuition will be clouded. Fits of feverishness may bother you and break down your energy. If you can get out into the countryside for a walk, you'll feel much better.
