Chicago Bulls can't keep up with Rajon Rondo

Full story: Chicago Tribune

Perhaps you're wondering how the Bulls could be so good in the first two playoff games in Boston and then come home to an adoring crowd and play so wretchedly.

Knock Rondo's goofy *** down, show some heart and determination. This guy is living in the paint, driving to the basket and offensive rebounding. Punish him for trying to rebound. The intent isn't to hurt him, but to let him know that the paint is controlled by the Bulls. The Bulls need an inside presence / banger.

TNT showed Rondo limping and being helped to the locker room after the game? Is he hurt? That's the only way for the Bulls to stop Rondo.

You'd think after Derrick Rose lit up Boston in Game 1, the Bulls would run more sets for him, running him off picks and getting him loose. Instead, Vinny has him walking the ball up with everyone spread out and no motion. When Rose keeps his dribble and is going to the basket, good things happen, whether he's scoring or drawing two or three defenders and finding the open man. Vinny can't coach this kid and its killing this team.

I love Rick's comment on "In the post-season, the basketball is enough." Very true. You can't disguise or hide your inefficiencies during the playoffs: they're there for everyone to see, and the Bulls last night showed theirs.
Hopefully they can turn this thing around and go back to Boston tied up.

This is still a young team. Vinny, being a rookie coach, was just simply out coached....Hopefully he will learn to utilize his weapons a bit more effectively next time around. The worst part of the game was inserting in Tim Thomas, Mr. I'm Not a Team Player. I see this guy destroying this team like TO did to the 49ers, Eagles, and Cowboys...Worst part is, unlike TO, he is an untalented goof.

Oh well, better luck next time bulls!

where is rose since gane 1? rondo is hurt game 2 and rose is not driving in on him? rose doesn't need the pick and roll he can blast by rondo on his own. not sure if this is a coach's decision or not. only way to stop rondo is to make him work on the defensive side by either tiring him out or get him in foul trouble.

You're talking Bulls defense. I don't know. The Celtics didn't really score any more than in the previous games. It was the Bulls offense that died and dropped by 20-25 points.
22 turnovers, 37.5 FG %, 63% FF%.

So, what happened to the new MJ? Got outplayed by some guy named Rondo? That is really sad.

It looked like the Celtics finally played a little D and the little bulls crumpled.

The first two games meant nothing except a marketing and hype opportunity. This last game was needed by the Celtics, so they played like it mattered and you see the result. No surprise. Now the bulls have had their shining moment, maybe they get another meaningless game, then they go home and the celtics go on to the real playoffs, you know the ones where you play the teams with wade, kobe, and lebron. So, enjoy the potential shown by rose, and fall back to the realization that the bulls need a frontline player that can play. And oh yeah, the bulls don't need a solid all round wing player like
Deng, they should trade him and keep gordon and salmon,(that's a joke).

If Boston makes it out of the first round (highly unlikely) they can't contend with no one in the top three in the East. We're seeing as much as we're going to see from Rondo. They have to beat the Bulls one more time in Chicago...something that will not happen.

Bulls in six.

maybe D-rose should D-up rondo for once. Our bigs are about as tough as a wet kleenex. Big baby and perkins look like olympians compared to our soft guys.

Um, you're a fool. If Boston can't compete, then what hope does your team have?! AHAHAHAhA! Also, Rondo has torched your ROY for a triple double average. How much more do you want to see? Oh I get it, you've figured him out. Or he will just fold up like ROY. Nah. I guarantee you'll see close to that same production from Rondo for every game. How about C's in 5. Thanks for playing. And what's with that ghey rose petal stuff. I laughed out loud. Bulls = soft and Noah is a puke.

Bench is too thin, because of dumps, and too slow. The roster is constantly churning and more is always threatened. Coaching staff is scapegoated and fired. Strange decisions are made in draft and coach hires. Players are traded for, then iced for months or years and dumped at cost: Hughes, Khyrapa, Tim Thomas, Lakers staf Shannon Brown, Ced Simmons, Sefolosha, etc.

Over large salaries are awarded at questionable levels.

Can we win with this personnel management. Pax has had five years. If you figure that Rose has added 10 points a game, Bulls won only 22 games this year without him.

So games 1 and 2 didn't mean anything to the Celts? That is fairly dumb. THe Celts are hurting and you would think they wanted to try and get this series over with asap. It is 2-1. Soon to be 2-2 and the Celts will start to feel the pressure. You lucked out last season against the Hawks. It won't happen against the Bulls. The majority of the Bulls turnovers where bad decisions by(insert player name). Of course you would overrate the Celt's defense and give it way more credit than it deserves. It will be a pleasure to see the Celts go home and reminisce on last season.
